    Are Shorties worth it?

    I'm going to be diong my headswap in a few weeks and was debating on installing some shorties. Is it that little of a gain or will it help out alot top end? Any guesstimets on what shorties will add with my set up (see sig) plus the PI heads/cams. Thanks

    That's what I was thinking and I don't want to lower compression since I'm staying N/A. I just wasn't sure if there was a better gasket or if the FoMoCo gasket was ok. Thanks Ry.... P.S. How's your car running? Get a tune yet?

    Have you heard a 96-98 GT and a 99+GT? Clost to the same set up, at least the BLOCK is. Different heads and intake, MUCH differant sound.

    Not to be a jerk, but are you tone deaf? Just adding an upper Plenum on our 4.6 chages the exhaust tone.

    Ask yourself, what's louder a stock GT, or a GT with P&P heads, Stroker kit, upper and lower Intake and some aggressive cams. I think you know what I mean now.

    I don't goto WallyWorld so I don't know what they have. Some people here seem to have had luck there though. I myself would goto a an electronics store or stereo install shop for the harness.

    Didn't know you don't have the Mach set up. So no, it doesn't have amps. It's running off of the factory deck I believe.

    PI and NPI, I have the adapter plates :p Seriously though, most people who did the swap used the PI gaskets. I'm doing my headswap in mid December and will be selling my adapter plates if someone wants to make an offer on them.
