    sick of hurst!

Our Hurst worked like a dream. Can't miss a gear. Just changed transmission from a 4r to a glide...think we're still sticking with a Hurst? old vid, about 18 months ago video :: racecam video by forensicsteve - Photobucket

    mild turbo to overcome altitude

You can use a decent size intercooled turbo and with a conservative tune...you may never need to forge the motor or reinforce other parts. We bought a 67mm turbo from Powerhouse. This is their base unit...it's a little larger than some other base heads and certainly capable of 700-800hp with a...

NastytGT: Roush TVS @ 524 rwhp

Really good times for a big 20 inch wheel and Nittos. Thought about getting something a little stickier than Nittos? You know when our track is well prepped.......all sorts of things start breaking on the cars....mostly rearends, transmission, clutches....lol

    mild turbo to overcome altitude

Research nitrous some. You don't need a huge amount...just a small shot may suffice. You'll deliver more oxygen to the engine. With forced induction, you will still be working off the available oxygen which is diminished at high altitude. In the deep south with oppressive humidity, we don't...

Cobra badges with Roush body kit

I pretty much agree with everything you say. It's a thoughful post and I read it more than once to catch all the points. I gotta say though, that to be honest to the OP, he needs to know that fake badging a car for a lot of folk, crosses the line. Some are so passionate and proud of their...

    Let's see your custom hoods

Car is subjected to pretty violent transbrake launches and without hood pins, never had an issue with the Cervini hood. Still, just his week, we have decided to install some plain hood pins for safety concerns...expect car to go 140+ when it goes back to the track.

    4:30's and other goodies

Trans temp gauge is a real important item for us. High heat will kill a transmission. After each run and car is pulled into pit area, we keep engine running for a few to allow oil to circulate. No idea how it's hooked up though:shrug:

Cobra badges with Roush body kit

I know you don't. I do know this...cause I've seen it happen more than once at car shows/meets. If he parks his cobra-badged non cobra near a real cobra...he will be laughed at, sneered at, or worse. Should not make a difference maybe, should not matter maybe, his car... he can do what he...

Thats' not posing. You like the Bullitt wheels enough to put them on your car...but would you really put the Bullitt faux gas cap and other emblems with the word Bullitt on your car...that's posing.

NJ-CA-NV-UT-NJ With a Turbo *Lots of Pics*

+1 on the PH turbo. Awesome trip and pics. Alas the furthest my car goes is about 1 mile. 1/4 real fast...then another 1/4 to slow down...then about a mile back to the crew area to cool down and datalog. There's a lot to be said for keeping a car very streetable and capable of driving across...

Cobra badges with Roush body kit

Many post their mods and track times, so that others can see how a certain vehicle performs in a certain way, given those mods. Our car is a project car...it's not driven for fun...it's not a street car anymore. I get PMs (mostly on other forums) about this mod and that mod listed in my sig. Not...

Because he wants to get a sense of the majority feeling about putting poser cobra emblems on his car. He is concerned about being ridiculed and called out on what would be at best...a shabby deceipt. DON'T DO IT.

2007 Shelby GT- Super charger advice.

I don't know....maybe a little. Seems important to you and you may be someone that would pay a premium for some dude named Shelby turning out a car (how many of them were produced anyway???) with an extra 30 hp. But I couldn't give a squat. Like I said...lovely car no doubt, but unless...

those of u with a auto tranny

Car had a 4r70w, before switching to a glide month ago. The 4r had full manual valve-body...had to shift it manually. Had 2 trans cooler. Heat kills trannies. Had to watch that closely and let the trans oil circulate for a few after each run, before turning motor off.

2007 Shelby GT- Super charger advice.

+1. What is a Shelby mustang anyway? Regular GT with a few extra bits and pieces added and a Shelby nameplate stuck on it. Very nice car no doubt, but no collector's item. Every auto maker make plays this game. I had a FE (Final Edition) Viper GTS...number 324 of 360, with a special color scheme...

    Racing stripe questions

Don't forget the hood pins...seems like most cars with stripes have them....and make sure the pins have those...stringy things.
