    TB/Plenum combo require tune?

K&N, Accufab tb, C&L plenum, PI intake, PI heads, o/r mid-pipe and mine was still pig rich on the dyno before the tune. I wouldn't worry about being lean. You'll love the throttle response. :nice:

Where might these items be located and how can I check them? Thanks. I used the SEARCH function again. I feel great! :nice:

    underdrive pulleys...good mod?

I have a '97 with all other mods in sig. I had the car dyno'd at one shop after the headswap and I got 249hp. I had the car dyno'd after my tune and 4.10's (at another shop a year later / both Dynojets) and I got 237hp. :nonono: I had a leaky front cover, so I fixed it and installed...

    PI swap HP

Hey Four Six, here's a dyno sheet after my PI swap. Other mods are in my sig (this was before the pulleys). DO IT. The graph looks weird because the torque and horsepower numbers are on a different set of numbers. If you compare the TQ and HP at 5,250RPMs, you'll notice they're both about...

Is it worth upgrading to a MAC off-road H-pipe?

Do you have any other mods? If you're keeping the stock mufflers, the H will sound better than the X, IMO, of course! You will gain HP with the O/R H, but it will be higher in the RPM range, so it might FEEL like it loses a little on the bottom end.

Creaking sound in rear, need opinions

It's the bushings in the stock lower control arms. They're junk. Squirt some white lithium grease on them. It'll last about 3 months until it creaks again! EDIT: If you get an O/R mid-pipe, you can't hear it anymore.

    Oil Leak

I had an oil leak after my headswap. I see you have PI heads. My leak was where the front cover, the head, and the block all come together. It was on both sides. It ran down the edge of the front cover and collected near the ridge on top of the oil pan. Taking a quick glance at it, you...

Is it safe to shift a stock GT @ high rpms?

 :stupid: 2K in 4th is 37MPH and 2K in 5th is about 55MPH. If you do the dreaded double downshift to 3rd at 55MPH and you don't blip the throttle, then mash it when you let the clutch out, you'll chirp your tires.

    98 Cobra.. ADVICE ON CAM?!

You keep saying cam. Your car has 4 cams and it's quite a nasty little project. Check with the guys on the SVT section. I'm sure they'll steer you in the right direction. Also, check out VT Racing, Crane Cams, Sean Hyland Motorsports. :D

Is it safe to shift a stock GT @ high rpms?

The only time I do this is when something is broken and I'm trying to limp it to the garage. :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh:

    2v Headswap

You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Two guys did it for me that never did a 4.6 head swap before. They quoted me a price based on 12 hours and an hourly rate and they stuck to their quote. They said, "Don't ever tell anyone what we charged you for this because it should've been double."...

WTF? Steeda Oil Cap comes out of valve cover!?!?

This is very odd. Have you talked to someone at Steeda? I hear they have excellent Customer Service. Maybe it's a fluky situation and they'll send you a new one that works. :nice:
