First police chase of a new Stang.

I used to love to watch the chases where the cops had 5.0's! Jason

    18's or 20's?

Yeah, sure. Have you seen the spoiler on that thing? If you have to have big wheels, go with the 19's. That is, if you don't mind the low sidewall. I decided to go with the 18's. The sidewall on my stock '03 tires is so small it always looks like pressure is low. Jason

Should the Mustang have won Motor Trend's "Car of the Year"?

Aren't the first choice and the last choice the same thing?

    New AQHA info

You get a membership card in the mail. Once you've been a member for 31, (yes 31 days) you are eligible for the discount. This is assuming your dealer will accept the discount. If you have any problems with your dealer saying it's not allowed on the 05 Stang or he claims he doesn't know how...

    New AQHA info

Didn't their website used to state the exp date was 12/31/04 or am I just imagining things? It doesn't say it anymore. Jason

    Hood scoop?

I was refering to the carbon fiber hood look of rice burners. I didn't realize what style you were talking about. Jason

    Hood scoop?

Touchy, touchy. OK, how's this, "The black hood would look rice, IMO." Better? Jason

    Blending old with new

Actually, all the '05 wheels are available with the spinners. Sorry, I'm getting a GT so I'll have the Torque Thrust II style. BTW the V6 rims are 16's, but you can get aftermarket in 17's. Jason

What Eleanor kit are you putting on? Not the Cervini kit, I hope.

    Hood scoop?

The black hood would look rice. It's a REAL car, not a wind-up toy.

For all of us that hate the muffler placement

Actually, Tom is right. It's not that the mufflers are safer, it's that there's, unfortunately, not room for them anymore in front of the axle where they'd be out of sight, because the gas tank is there now. No where else to put them. Except maybe in the wheel wells. (see one of the post above)

For all of us that hate the muffler placement

Sure. Hey, you could always start a thread titled "For all of us that like the safe mufflers" j/k

For all of us that hate the muffler placement

Fine put them behind the axle. Put them in the wheel wells if it's safer. It doesn't matter. I just don't like them sticking out from under the car like a Camaro.

For all of us that hate the muffler placement

You're turning the thread into something it's not. WE are talking about the fact that they don't look good back there. I believe you were the one that was telling the rest of us to "get over it" Sounds like our opinions don't matter to you. But maybe I read that wrong? Nope. That's what you...

For all of us that hate the muffler placement

It's obvious, you like the look, or at least don't mind it. However, if you'll read other post here and the other Mustang boards, you'll notice MOST people don't like the mufflers and feel they would LOOK better if they weren't visible from behind the car. I don't care where they are. I just...

For all of us that hate the muffler placement

Once again you are off topic. This thread is about how they look. Not about how safe they are. Also, if you'll go back and read the topic of this thread you'll notice YOU'RE the one who is missing the point. This thread is directed at people who "hate the muffler placement" Obviously you are...
