Did i waste $830 on the wheel upgrade?

On a side note, you won't fill the wheel wells any more with 18's, 19's or any other size. Unless you want to reprogram your computer, you're going to stay with the same diameter tire as stock so making the wheels bigger isn't going to "fill" the wells anymore than the stock 17's. I don't...

Which springs for an '06 GT?

I went with Steeda rear springs and left stock on the front. I didn't want a lot of drop and I wanted to level the car out. The back dropped 1-1/16".

    2006 California Special Edition Mustang

There was a thread about it on TheMustangSource a couple of weeks ago. Any dealer in the Northern California Region can order one. I'll see if I can find the thread. EDIT: Found it... http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=37841

Just Another Wheel Question (FR500 question)

They're great. I like the fact they don't look like anything else out there. They're also easier to clean than Bullitts. If you're going to change your order to stock wheels, don't forget you'll have to buy new tires when you get the FR500's. I spent $1400 on the tires and rims combined...

Just Another Wheel Question (FR500 question)

The only FR500's (replicas, BTW) available for the '05+ are 18x9's. They have a +36mm offset which as low as you'd want to go. (stock is +45mm) More pics: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?act=module&module=gallery&cmd=user&user=1655&op=view_album&album=35

    2006 California Special Edition Mustang

It's not a real SE model. It's not factory. It's simply a dealer tactic to over charge for a car. And it's a Northern California Special.

    Headlight Bucket Painting,PLEASE HELP.

I'm amazed the aftermarket didn't jump on this idea. If anyone figures out a good way to get the lense off (and then reattach it) please let us know.

They only come in one color. They match the other black plastic on the car like the side mirrors and the V6 rocker panels to give you an idea of the color. No pics here at work, but I'll try to post some tonight at home.

    Mustang tuning wheels

Oh, almost forgot. I did have to remove the dust caps on the front wheels to put on the center caps, but it's sealed behind there anyway so it's no big deal.

    Mustang tuning wheels

Yes. They fit. At first I was worried about the offset too. And when I put them on, I thought I made the wrong decision because it looked like they stuck out too much in the rear. Then I realized it was only the driver's side rear tire that was out too much. I'm sure you've read where a lot of...

No, those rims have a +36mm offset. That was done specifically for the '05. The rims you're refering to for the pre-'05 Mustangs have a + 24mm offset. The problem is in the way the deep dish Bullits are designed. The rest of their '05 specific wheels (made by the same company) fit just fine.

    Mustang tuning wheels

Like everyone's already said, yes, they screwed up. I assume it's pretty hard to make a deep dish wheel with a +36mm offset. But I can tell you my FR500's have a +36mm offset and mine clear the calipers just fine. They're made by the same company that makes those deep dish bullitts.

    Mustang tuning wheels

Why would you need wheel spacers? If you want the wheels to stick out, just buy wheels with the wrong offset. There are plenty of them out there. Look for any wheels with less than a +30mm offset and they'll stick out plenty. Any of the pre-'05 Mustang wheels will give you that since they are...

    Trunk Lid GT badge

Avoid the fishing line and use something stiff to pry it up. The fishing line will leave a lot of the backing on the car. Heat it up real good, (use a hairdryer if needed) and pull it off. Go slow and take your time. It'll come off MUCH "cleaner" that way.

Yes. That's what they're made for.

    wheels and lowering springs

They will only fit the '05-'06 wheels made by Ford. They won't fit any of the aftermarket Bullitts without some modification. However, the '04 center caps will fit the aftermarket wheels.

how much did you pay for your '05/'06 GT?

I hate leather seats and the Shaker 1000 takes up too much of the trunk. $700 under invoice. With that kind of deal I got everything I wanted or needed.
