    widebands: decisons, decisions

I have had both Fast & a LM-2. The Fast does datalog but only AFR. You have to buy a $130 kit to record RPM. I sold the Fast and bought the LM-2 for more versatility. I now datalog AFR, RPM & Vacuum. It also is a OBDII code reader. I have had some trouble with the LM-2 but they have helped...

    cam and trans?

If you are using a non-roller block you will need a small base circle cam. On a stroker with that much lift the cam may flex. I researched this and that is another reason I went with a custom cam and linkbar roller lifters.

    cam and trans?

I have a 393 in a 67 mustang coupe. I had a custom hyd roller cam ground for my application from Preditor cams. I have had him grind me two cams for two different engines I built and both preform better than any off the shelf cam I have ever had. The price is about the same as a cam from the...

    Wide band software

Yes it can. It can data log your timing but it can't manipulate it. Dual sensors is the desired method but you can also weld a bung in both collectors and tune one side and then swap it to the other side to check to make sure it's the same. Exhaust temperature probes in each header is how the...

Where do I start with tuning this Holley?

I second what Brianj5600 said. It is also the best money I every spent. If you are cruising at a 11:1 AFR and you lean it out to 14.5:1 you will get 30% better fuel economy. An example of one thing of many a wide band can do.

Where do I start with tuning this Holley?

The problem you now have could be a few different things. Get a wide band and read, read and read about how to tune a Holley with a wide band. Quickfuel's techline is also a great resource. I am tuning a 393 stroked 351W with a big cam and 5 inches of vacuum in gear so I have a 2.5 power valve...

    looking for a headers builder

I built my own. I built a 393 stroked 351W with Brodix heads with the wide exhaust bolt pattern and FPA headers are close to $700. I bought a "U" weld it kit from Summit (1 3/4) for a Small block Chevy. I made my own flanges but you can buy them already cut out for your type of head. They...

    Wiring Question (KwikWire)

I bought the Ford Universal harness. I am very pleased with the quality. It is very time consuming. If I had to do it again I would get the American Autowire kit. I just checked it with a power supply and it does have to be 5 volts. I also have a 3G type alternator and does anyone know if I...

    Wiring Question (KwikWire)

I am installing a KwikWire universal harness in my 67 coupe and I am curious about the fuel gauge. I have read that the gauges run on 5 volts and that 12-14 volts will destroy them. I am pretty sure the fuel sending wire in my new harness supplies 12 volts to the gauge. (i have not hooked...

    double pumper tuning with sbf

I bought a wide band O2 gauge. Best money I ever spent. Using the gauge gives you instant data that you can log and compare to the adjustments you have made. Then you know exactly what your carb is doing throughout the rpm range, under a load, wide open throttle, cruise ect.
