    New S197 for me!

Damn Hillie, these newer cars are bringing back the old timers..... I have to say though, that even the old cars could have benefited from a tune. You can get away with a lot with an EECIV, but even with them, a proper tune would make more power. Anyway, nice car and have fun with it!

My 2011 Mustang shimmy saga beginning to today

Argenti, stay calm and keep on keeping on, you'll get to the bottom of this. I don't visit 10 different Mustang sites, so seeing your post here is good. Anyway, are you sure that you don't have a bent axle or out of balance driveshaft? Some of the F150 guys are finding that their trucks are...

    Bullitt or '11 5.0

I was a die hard Mustang fan until the '05s came out. I do, however, like the Bullits and GT500. But, Ford really got my attention with the '10 redesign and with the improvements made over the last couple of years, I think it's a no brainer. If you have the money, go for a 2011. To me...

    Mustang Gt 5.0...High speed dangerous?

Nothing at all. They are warning people about the car because it has power to spin the tires like it's nobody's business. Power in the hands of people who haven't had it will cause accidents. I did a lot of stupid crap in my Mustang that only had half of the power as the new ones. It's...

Sold My 1994 331/Vortech...Ordering my 2011 next week.

Nice move! The new cars have even brought me, someone who moved on 4 years ago, back into the Ford family. If they only weren't quite so expensive.

    Silver and White 5.0's... *pics*

Nice pictures, I applaud your enthusiasm. What do you have for a motor in the white Mach1?

Is the MPG on 2011 Mustangs for real???

Doug, I'm not convinced that ethanol will do any harm at all in a regularly driven car. It can actually help keep carbon deposits to a minimum. Also, when you say "older vehicles", I believe the cutoff was round 1988 on average. Many people are tuning their vehicles from the 90s to run...

Well, after more searching, it seems to be a relative non-issue. :nice:

    Opening door in winter

My apologies if this has been covered ad nauseam. As most people in this section of the forums know, the windows roll down to clear the weatherstripping when you pull the door handle. How does this work in the winter when the window has frozen up to where the window won't roll down. If I...

Pssst, it happened back in early October. :nice:

    2011 V6 stang official release

Greg, the press release is probably right. The front will likely have twin piston calipers and the rear rotors may not be vented. I'm right there with you, but the Camaro V6 is around $22K something, I doubt Ford will risk going much above that, especially considering the current lackluster...

    2011 V6 stang official release

It's nice to see Ford has finally caught up with a v6 that competes with other companies. They have my attention.

Picture request - Cobra spoiler on a 'vert

Does anyone have a picture of an '87-93 convertible with a Cobra spoiler? I plan to pick up an '88 convertible soon and am debating on a spoiler or not. I prefer a clean look, but since the car will have ground effects I'm contemplating a spoiler.

Surprise when doing first oil change on 10 GT

I wasn't arguing this, hence the word "also" in my post. I am very familiar with the OEM supplier side of things and guarantee that every effort was made to keep the cost of the factory filter to a minimum, including not adding text to the filter when branding it isn't necessary.

Surprise when doing first oil change on 10 GT

It's also a way to cut costs, which Ford is very adept at.

    pan hard

It won't do much, if anything for you at the strip. A panhard rod controls side to side motion of the axle. You should already have one on your car.
