    I've made my feelings known more than often. Even though I feel the IRS should be standard on the GT.....I voted for IRS as option. It makes everybody happy....the drag racers keep their old tech rear end, and those who want it...can pony up the extra couple of bucks for the IRS.

    You're right..it doesn't need it. But heck. it's doesn't need a 3 vavlve SOHC engine with VVT to make 300 hp, the Mach 1 DOHC would have done the job just as well. But the IRS would have made the car better.

    I don't believe anybody who advocates the IRS is saying it's not a factor, but I think it's being overblown to the point where people feel if the car had IRS...all of a sudden it's getting Cobra price territory.
