    4.6 Cams

sorry :( I thought they were more expensive, and I didnt know most people put them in themselves. I personally like to sacrifice zero driveability, and dont cams cost you gas mileage? I just dont know much about them, and dont have any experience either. so I shouldnt have said...

    4.6 Cams

dont know much about em, but I hear they are way harder to install on an ohc 4.6 than a 5.0. Plus, i dont think they are worth the money, IMO, but no one can decide that for you!

Will shorty headers make a difference?

sorry for asking so many questions. .. but if you arent pulling the motor, how hard is the install? can your average joe do it easily? and what do you have to do to get to them? can you keep the valve covers on? thanks!

Will shorty headers make a difference?

yeah. . how big of an impact on sound will shorty headers make? someone told me once that headers will make my car softer. . . dont know how true that is. . . and are equal lengths worth any more power? and are they much harder to install? which companies make the best and cheapest headers?

First time at the track is coming up..

i dont know too much about the triple five r's, but I dont think you will want a racing compound, I think they will wear rather quickly and be very hard to control in the rain. But I could be wrong- theres actually a good chance i am. as far as octane goes, if you have a stock gt, then its...

    What do I need?...

from what i understand its not beneficial to go more than 1.75 it think it is? but you should get an alignment any and every time you do any type of suspension mod. and cc plates are a good idea anyway to counter the increased negative camber your springs will give you. going lower than 2 inches...

1st trip to the strip tomorrow, any suggestions?

well i dont know man he kind of has a point. although most people run faster times by shifting lower, (id have to look at a dyno chart for our motors) but you arent suposed to shift only where your peak hp is at, but also you need to land right in your torque band. where you will end up next...

1st trip to the strip tomorrow, any suggestions?

well I have a question/comment a friend of mine raced mustangs for 20 years or so, and he says that the mustang gear box works best when you shift slowly and smoothly. bangin it through the gears may seem faster, but the gearbox is harder to shift through the harder you try. he tells me to shift...

when you installed the shifter, did you put the silicon gasket maker stuff in between the shifter and the tranny? I think that helps with noise reduction a lot. the biggest difference you can make on the sound is to re-install the rubber boot thing that goes around the base of the handle. the...

so have you ever felt a really slow grind? its hard to explain but let me try. when shifting into gear, do you ever feel liek the gears grinding slowly, kind of like a "knobby" or "notchy" feeling? its not fast enough to hear the grind, its . . thats pretty much the best I can do. So if you...
