Got caugh for my exhaust, 160$ ticket, need help guys!

You are right. If a car came from the factory with cats it has to have cats to drive legally on a PUBLIC road. NASCAR vehicles aren't driven on PUBLIC roads. Alot of the old cars you see at your local dragstrip didn't have cats from the factory so they can be driven legally on PUBLIC roads...

    2004 SRT-4 vs. 93 5.0 Mustang

Very good point. I'll take a listen to what Mr. Yount says. He keeps an open mind and has nothing to prove. It's still kind of unsettling to know a neon can beat my car. I used to own one as a beater and have developed a special hatred for them Lol. :D

Stock: SP Gap .40 or .54??

Just make sure it's covered pretty well. I don't think that it's a super accurate procedure. Just put enough so that the wire won't seize on the plug after some damp weather. :D

Stock: SP Gap .40 or .54??

I'm pretty sure that the gap would be the same for an 89. It's the same engine there are only slight differences between them. .50-.54 If you don't use di-electric grease you will have a chance that the plugs could arc. It's basically an insulator and a water shield. You'll have an easier...

Question about pcv screen in intake

I used a dentists pick to hook some of the wire mesh to pull it out. You can't see where it goes so you have to feel your way around. It doesn't take much force to get it out though.

Question about pcv screen in intake

You can find them at Advance autoparts or Autozone near the PCV valves. You can also clean them with some carb/fuel injection cleaner. Thats all mine needed.

    bbk shortie headers

The stock exhaust pinches at around 1 .25 inches. I think the tube OD is 1.5 inches. I second the vote for locking header bolts and good copper or dead soft aluminum gastkets.

    Suspension Max/Spring Tech? (Shocks/Struts)

I haven't had any experience with them but I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for. My opinion is that you should go with a brand that has proved itself. Tokico seems to be one of the most popular due to the price/performance ratio.

    Spintech Side Exhaust - Installed

I'm not usually a fan of bullits on foxes but the black ones look bad@$$ on your car. Very nice. :nice: The exhaust looks sweet too. It's cool to see something other that the norm. :D

    Subframe connectors

I have these too and I strongly agree. Since subs are welded on get the best and be done with it. They are a fairly inexpensive mod and they will make a huge difference even on a stock car.

    mechanics+expensive seats=:(

The mechanic that I go to does better work than a few speed shops I've been to. He puts plastic covers on the seats and floor and puts a plastic thing over the armrest so he can close the door without putting grease all over it. He even gave me a few for when I work on my car at home.

Ready to do "complete" tune-up...bunch of questions...answer what you can...

BlackFox5.0 is right about the inertia switch when you change your fuel filter. Carb cleaner and fuel injection cleaner aren't the same thing. Don't use carb cleaner on your throttle body it will strip the teflon coating out of it. Most Fuel inj cleaners are teflon safe although I don't...

    Driving a manual

I guess neither of us are being clear. Lol. When I learned I didn't sit on the clutch while waiting 5 minutes for the light at the top of the hil to turn green. I would find a hill that wasn't busy and practiced stop and go until I didn't have to worry about the car rolling back into the...
