    It's likely the resonant frequency has to do with the gearing, and if you have swapped out the stock ring & pinion for something shorter, I'd guess the dogbone no longer has any positive effect.

    Depends on driving style. Every Mustang I've owned, whether it it was 5.0, a 2V modular, or 4V modular... all of them got about 22 mpg average.
