    24/HR SB LAST NIGHT : )

Do you have any idea how many people were there last night? At least twice as many cars as I've ever seen. Keith and I left because the ricer atmosphere was too overpowering (and yes, I was driving my rice burner...). You'd have your work cut out for you trying to keep it clean. At...

    Ariel Atom

Ah crap, there were two there? I only saw the blue/gold one. What a fantastic toy. And you don't have to be especially rich to own one. Maybe I should get a beater for a DD and pick up an Atom for track days. Hmmm..... :D

    Ariel Atom

Tonight at DQ & SB24, the topic of the Ariel Atom came up a few times, so I thought I'd post a bit more info for those people who didn't know what it is. This would be a fun track car for sure. 220 bhp naturally aspirated 300 bhp with supercharger option 1005 pounds 0-60 in 2.89 seconds 0-100...

    HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA

fastang2k1 has some good points. That is probably the most prudent (and least expensive) option. If the company you attacked recently decided to take you to court for libel, could you prove that what you said was fact? Your righteous indignation is perhaps admirable, but if I were in your...

    Any 2005 GT's for under 20,000??

That's for sure. One of our local Ford dealers has their used lot directly next to the new lot. You can shop around the new lot for a Mustang, and then wander over to the used lot and see Mustangs with miles on them for a few thousand dollars more. They were asking $30K for used '03 Cobras...

    StangNet Administration and Mods

I'm a member of a number of different forums, some car related, some not, some import, some domestic, etc. And I've gotta say ... as bad as some people around here seem to think SN is ... it's not. Really. Piss, moan, complain, and then go visit some other forums where the admins truly are...

    brand of fuel most trusted

For the regular stations, keep in mind that all their gas comes from the same pipes. Chevron gas stations may not be selling gas originating from Chevron refineries. No way to tell, it becomes anonymous once it enters the pipeline. Once it reaches distribution points, the different brands add...

    Top Gear and the GT500

The vast majority of people use their 03/04 Cobra for daily driving. And that's why IRS. That's just being an apologist. Lots of manufacturers make IRS setups that handle that kind of power, it's not particularly difficult or expensive. What numbers would you be referring to? Skidpad? As...

How clever! Where did you pick those up?

how lenient is PIR regarding the helmet rule?

I guess I'm thinking of a different kind of prep. Woodburn spreads nice sticky VHT that'll try to take your shoes off if you walk across it. I think I could wear slippers and walk across the track at PIR without worrying ;).

    Top Gear and the GT500

I find it somewhat entertaining that the original design intent of the modular was FWD (and not any V8's IIRC), and now the only modulars left in production are RWD V8's. Whoops. At the rate Ford is bleeding money right now, I wonder how much longer this can go on. With rumors going around...

how lenient is PIR regarding the helmet rule?

Heh, no apologies necessary. Just that I've seen a lot of people run a second or more slower than they "should" have. PIR is an unprepped track and it takes exceptional driving or really sticky tires to get any kind of respectable launch. I quit drag racing when I got the STI . My...
