    Cool Mach 1 Fox

I love the whole 'idea' of this car, and this one was extremely well-done. However, I agree, this should have been done to a hatchback car. Not knocking it in any way, a lot of times projects are done to the car that you have on hand. Also, I think the rivets holding the cowl to the factory hood...

Trick Flow H/C/I kit.. where to buy?

That was one of the main reasons I went with Anderson Ford Motorsport. For the custom blower grind cam, and the custom tunes, since I run the Anderson PMS controller. Andersons cams are just plain awesome!

Chicane Sport Tuning in Torrance, CA

Joe Gozinksi (sp?) is the man behind Chicane, and from your description, it was definitely him that you spoke with, lol! If I lived in CA, and needed performance work done, there is no other place that I would bring my car. Joe worked at Saleen for years and is responsible for a lot of the...

    Harness Mount

I understand wanting the harness, for looks, or an eventual track day, whatever. They are incredibly inconvenient for street use, as previously stated. Guaranteed, you will NOT ever use them, for street driving. I speak from experience, I have a Schroth harness in my car, that goes largely...

Stupidest thing you've ever heard about car performance

I had a typical Chevy redneck pull up to me, at the gas pumps. This was a few years ago, when I only had a supercharger and TB, MAF etc. Still, I had 275 (dyno proven!) rwhp. Anyway, the 'neck was driving a 6 cylinder 80's Camaro. Out here, in the sticks, we call 6 cylinder Camaro's 'Bitchin'...

    MAC cat back

QUIET - LOUD - LOUDEST Magnaflow - Flowmaster - MAC I have the MAC's, right now, replaced an old set of Flow's. I actually preferred the Flowmasters. They were a bit quieter and had a more mellow tone. The MAC's are loud and all out brutal, but a lot of guys like that! The...

looking to get a 5.0 what's a good and bad

Some good advice here. I will 2nd the statement "Don't Settle!" If you want a coupe, hold out for one, or it you wanted a GT or an LX, wait until the right one comes along. Same deal with a 5 speed or an automatic, no compromise, get what you want. They literally made about a million of these...

    upper Control arms

The Steeda's are far and away the best deal, if you plan on doing any kind of road racing or autocrossing. I have the Ford Racing ones, that I had boxed in and 'performance coated' (read: expensive chassis paint, lol) I only went with them, because they were a package deal. If I were to buy a...

1989 5.0 SSP. Pics. My baby.

Add a Saleen rear bumper cover and a Saleen wing, FTMFWin!!! Love the color, especially.

    Roush New seats in 88

You can still get brand new Flofits, from SeatSource, in CA. I would get a set in grey cloth, and have your original Saleen headrest covered, to match. The Recaro's are great, but they are at least double the money, unless you can find a decent used set.

    Stock 5.0 WHP

The generally accepted number is 190 rwhp. Wythors - your 'stock' Saleen has at least a K&N filter and a cat-back exhaust system, which could easily explain your excellent 200 rwhp #!

    Vortech V-3 Supercharger

I love mine!! When my engine was stock, all I had was a bigger MAF,TB and exhaust, added the SC Trim and made 275 rwhp!! Far from a dog, in my case. For a street car, it is a nice, inexpensive alternative. I mean really, how much power, and how fast are you going to go on the street?! You can...

    Vortech guys what oil?

If you only run your car in the warmer months, as I do, I use 20W50, Royal Purple. These cars run pretty hot as is, add a supercharger and they run even hotter! I run the 20W50 at the recommendation of Joe DaSilva.

    Power Distribution Block Project

Like a lot of you guys, I have way too many powered accessories! Which, of course, includes a bunch of power wires, cluttering up my engine bay and/or fuse panel. For example, I have: one wire for the alarm, one for my Ipod controller, one for my power amp/subwoofer, one for my external T-Rex...

Trick Flow H/C/I kit.. where to buy?

You can't go wrong with Summit Racing. That is if you want the TrickFlow kit 100% as TrickFlow spec'd it out. I do believe that Summit will delete some parts, like the intake manifold etc. if you order it that way. I purchased mine from Anderson Ford Motorsports. They will customize the kit...

Anybody other then BBK make an offroad H-pipe? I heard of problems with them!

The one I mentioned from Mustangs Unlimited is definitely stainless steel. It is 'only' the 409 variety, which is a lesser grade than the 304, but it is stainless, nonetheless and will not rust! As for H-pipes being "garbage for power" is a total BS and untrue statement. A true statement is...

Anybody other then BBK make an offroad H-pipe? I heard of problems with them!

I'm not sure who manufactures that off road pipe, for Brothers Performance, as it is identical to the Mustangs Unlimited branded part I bought several years ago. It is stainless as well, and it cost around $120 plus shipping. I would highly recommend that part. It fit like a glove, was easy to...

    trick flow top end kit

Buy the Trick Flow kit from Anderson Ford Motorsports, and substitute one of their proprietary B (boost) cams. Their pricing is competitive with Summit etc and you can add and subtract parts, or upgrade whatever you want. That is what I did and I could not be happier with the product and the...

Crane HI-6R ign owners - wiring help

What he said! You only need the green wire, if you are running an aftermarket tach. Otherwise, heat shrink the end of it, and tuck the wire out of the way. You never know, you may end up running a monster tach, sometime down the road.

    Longtubes SUCK

Longtubes SUCK!! X 1 million!! I would never go through the pain and aggravation of long tubes, for just a few measly HP. Seriously, what do you gain over a decent set of short tubes? 5 HP, maybe 10 on a good day?! I would never give up the ground clearance, and engine bay room etc. for that...
