    I've got one of the race weight hoods on my 73. I actually rigged up a frame for the hood that I could attach my stock hinges to with lighter springs from the hardware store. Works like a charm. That light weight hood gets to flexing and flapping a bit when their is a strong crosswind...

    It used to be that if your car wasn't originally equipped with seatbelts then you were exempt from the seatbelt laws in Texas. That may have changed that. I mean they are just trying to make all the money they can nowadays.

    I saw these... And it got me to thinking maybe there might be a way to adapt my 73 stang to use the front steer spindles, and gain the clearance needed to then use a rack mounted to the unaltered cross member under the engine bay. Plus you could grab the brakes off the new stangs too...

    I think there's a lot you can do to improve the handleing of your 73 without going to C4 suspension setup. Course all of it seems to be really expensive. It'd be great if someone made a rack and pinion kit for the 71 to 73 stangs. Posted via Mobile Device

    I played around with my car a bit again and still can't find anything really wrong. I readjusted the carb at idle and it's pretty rich, advanced the timing from 4 to 8 degrees initial and still the run on remains. Could be my carb is still out of whack, but I really don't think so. My...

    There may be feedback causing this issue, but no I don't have an electric fan. I reckon I could isolate the ignition box and coil with diodes. :shrug:

    Thanks for the suggestions. Um, colder plug??? I'm stupid and have never understood this hot cold plug thing. Hence I've never experimented with that.
