    Updated TCP G-Bar triangulated 4-link...

David- Your kit will indeed ship with the sway bar mounts on the upper brackets to give you that flexibility in the future. Everything should head your way tomorrow.

Help me ID this 9" housing and maybe talk me out of it.

About 400 hp and the car won't see hard abuse, and will most likely always be on street tires (as opposed to drag radials or slicks). What are your thoughts about using a small bearing housing in the first place? I wasn't really worried about it in this application. My alternative is to...

Coincidentally, I just spoke with them about this very topic today. I suggested that they just make the frame brackets with the sway bar mount the default to eliminate this potential gotcha and I think they're going to do that. That way someone who never thought about it beforehand or wasn't...

Help me ID this 9" housing and maybe talk me out of it.

This 9" housing came with a '68 Mustang I bought. It's not original to the car and I have no info on where it came from. I was planning on using it in the '68 Bullitt I'm building but a few things about it bother me. Perhaps you all can set my mind at ease. I'll list what I know -- let...

    Updated TCP G-Bar triangulated 4-link...

It all depends on your use. For a regular street car I don't think you'd ever notice the difference in handling and you'd appreciate the ride of of the poly bushings. If you routinely drive your car hard and/or participate in track days I'd opt for the pivot ball g-Link system. Almost the...

So here are some pics. Like I said before, the packaging was bombproof. All of this stuff was sealed into one large 89-lb. box and packed so well that nothing would budge. Here's everything unpacked. The quality of the components is outstanding. The powder coating is very nice and every...

They're not daft at all, it's just a different flavor of forum. It's presented as a place for those who are in the know to discuss advanced suspension topics more so than a place to get basic questions answered. The general mentality is that if you ask a question it had better not be able to...

...and I should add that if you really want to get into the nuts & bolts of suspension stuff, check out Corner Carvers at www.corner-carvers.com/forums. Here are a couple links to discussions of truckarm suspensions there: http://www.corner-carvers.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=6810...

If you're referring to the HTH setup I just can't agree. I see this setup being great in a straight line but it's a stretch for them to make the handling claims they do. Sorry, I just don't consider NASCAR to be the pinnacle of sports-car handling.

Hi, and welcome to StangNet! This particular thread is about the TCP g-Bar/g-Link systems, but pretty much everything else you mention has been discussed at great length in other threads. There's a whole giant thread all about the Mustang II debate for example...

    Updated TCP G-Bar triangulated 4-link...

I just received two g-Bar systems this morning and the hardware looks awesome. Everything was packaged extremely well -- I've never had to use a pry bar to open a cardboard box before. Definitely nothing to worry about for international shipments. I'll try to post some pics later after I...

Ford is suing companies for use of Mustang name?

...and I agree with you entirely. Wouldn't that be something if a Ford PR spokesperson came out and publicly explained the whole thing, the reasoning and intent behind it, and outlined a common-sense plan for defending their intellectual property while maintaining their relationship with...

Ford is suing companies for use of Mustang name?

Look, here's what I think the the real underlying business reason is for them doing this. It's doesn't make the turd taste any better but at least there's a kernel of logic behind it. It's still a situation of alienating your base for a short-term payoff. As we all know, Ford isn't exactly in...

    new 1967 fastback body

CDC told me that they had to cut the driver's A-pillar and add 1/2" just so the windshield would fit in. The A-pillar angle was wrong and that made it nearly impossible to fit the wing vent assemblies and actually get the thing to seal up. That of course made it almost impossible to align the...

    new 1967 fastback body

I am guessing he hasn't used one yet though -- no one I have talked to who has would say this. Surprisingly, shops like CDC and Gateway that have built Dynacorn cars have been very frank about the large amounts of work they had to do to make the bodies acceptable for a high-end car.

So here's his next reply from when I asked to see the car in person: Of course. So I wrote: To which I have received no reply and probably never will. In the meantime I get this one from his "eBay International Trading": He's really trying. :D I'm sure he now knows that it isn't...

OK, so check this out. I emailed the guy the following (used my middle name): And he replied: Then I received this bogus purchase agreement email from "eBay International Trading" which obviously isn't a real eBay company. It says to reply with my full address, etc. and that there is a $3k...

Got a reply: Since I'm so close to Los Angeles I'm going to ask him if I can go see the car :) I guess posting in Indanapolis he thought it was safe to say it was in LA. Not that he's in Indy -- nobody in the states would list the price as "USD 12000".
