    camaro driver. looking at an '03 GT

    what about the intake manifold??? Do those still have the plastic cross over?? If it does I'd have them get it swapped out to the aluminum one before buying it and having it be your problem.

    fel-pro gaskets

    Your looking at head gaskets right?? I'm pretty sure head gaskets are usually a little bigger then the bore of the cyclinder cause it's designed to fit the cyclinder head... unless I'm way out in left field.

    Did you just change the oil?? Did the gasket from the old oil filter get stuck to the block and you ended up with a double gasket?? That's about the only thing that I know of that could be remotely close to what your doing?

    So your using the 99-04 headers with the motor but still using the 96-98 mid-pipe?? Would the 96-98 headers work with a 99+ motor cause some brands will list 96-04 for the headers??

    I did the bullett suspension with the steeda balljoints on my 97gt, I left out the metal rings and there is not very much of a noticable difference between the front and the rear.

    Have you ever had the mid-pipe out of the car before?? When we did the clutch on my 97, mine had never been messed with, I had a guy at work cut the mid to catback bolts out and put new in there so that was easy, but the manifold/header bolts were a pain. They did come out. Get some swivle...
