Nitrous on a 00 GT with 17in wheels

Here is an explanation of the Venom-1000 Nitrous system that I use. Might be some good stuff here too: http://www.mustangtuningforums.com/showthread.php?t=362&highlight=nitrous

4.10 Gear videos in daily driving

Great Job! I should do the same with my setup....100 shot and 4.10's. Would be cool if video of the stock speedo and tack could be done right next to the 4.10 example.

    12 second BOLT ON VERT

New rules for verts are 13.49 w/o a roll bar. Jackie, great run. You give me something to look forward to as I am a bolt-on vert aided by some juice. OK, so I cheat.

    synthetic vs. mineral oil

If you have a warrenty, don't run it longer than what the warrenty states as a recoomended interval which is usually 7500 miles. I think 10k is certainly safe with synthetic. One way to know how your oil is doing is to measure the pH. It will begin to drop once it starts to break down...

dad has worries about UD pullies

Back to your original questions: I think your father has some good reasons for concerns. If UDP's really did that much, I think he would be completely justified. But, they don't. With only 5 - 10 rwhp gains at the most, this is why there are so few complaints. I have them on my car and...

    synthetic vs. mineral oil

Guys, I bring to this thread some experience...well actually that of a friend who is a senior manager for a very large company that manufactures and designs oil additives for just about every oil company on the planet. About 10 years ago an extensive study was performed in NYC on a large...

    O/R X Pipe Installation

Yikes! That is insanity. I USED to live in CA about 11 years ago. I remember those days. Shops charge $35 - $45 an hour here. I had my X Pipe put on for $20 as I new someone and I helped (would have been free if I didn't).

My Wife's GT is Sick, Help!

Sounds like an IAC to me too. You can try to clean it. Sometimes that works. Why do you have a Cobra MAF? Unless your car is tunes for it, you should use only the stock MAF. MAF's do not need to be changed on a near stock car. In fact, upgrading them causes problems with the air fuel...

First time at the track( in the new car)

I think that is a good time for a stck GT first time out! I think DR's are not a good idea for a stock GT. What is the point? You could drop .2 tenths in your 60 foot just with practice and letting some air out of the back. On a stock GT DR's do nothing more than make the car a bit more...

    Spark Plugs?

If you are staying n/a, the two best options are either copper or platinum. Copper will give you a better spark, but platinums will last longer, so that is up to you. I use Autolite Coppers. Model 103, but I have nitrous and they are one heat range colder than stock.

    Switch chip

You can switch it, but the tune does not change unless you restart the car....at least that was how mine worked.
