    Never seen a "noticable" power gain from deleting the smog pump myself. The only advantage to me is cleaning up the engine bay some. If I ran cats I would probably keep it, especially if I lived in a state with any kind of inspections.

    Cant say that I actually have any experience with deamon carbs so Im basically talking out of my ass here but I believe that changine the air bleeds on those can have quite an affect on idle mixture. Cant be of any specific help but that might give you something to research.
