    Wow, I paid $2400 for my 92 GT from a used car dealer last fall. Then I turned around and sold amp and speakers for $300, so I paid $2100 in the end. Mine was totally stock with 130K and just needed a little cleaning. I've already spent more than the purchase price in modifications.

    You will have to go to a junkyard. FYI to those suggesting the lift shocks. A notchback uses torsion rods that run from side to side and hold the trunk lid up. Twisting the rods act like a spring and holds the lid open.

    And if you put five new quarts in, you are overfilled by 3/4 to 1 quart of dirty oil. Always drain both plugs.

    I put together my own M2300K kit for $1350. Only parts that were used were the spindles, hubs and axles. I modified the stock rear hard lines. Everything else was new. It saved me $700-800 over the kit price.

    Not counting Cobras, stock for stock, the 87 LX coupe will be the quickest. No MAF meter to clog up the intake and lighter weight.

    It's not a Mustang but I did paint my other little car. I used a 5 hp, 14 SCFM, 80 gallon receiver compressor that I bought from Harbor Freight, US Genreal brand, I think. Still have it and it still works great. I used a DeVillbis Finishline II HVLP sprayer. I manually sanded the whole car...

    So your saying if full synthetics alone give 5 hp. And bumping timing to 14-15 degrees alone gives 5 hp. But together you will only get 7 hp? So the timing somehow effects the physical properties of the oil so there is less friction reduction? I quoting real world hp gains, not the crap...

    Oh, if your looking for good MPG, don't get the Cobra. I can't seem to get better than 11 mpg (at least the way I drive.)

    Get them both, that's what I did!! I love the Fox, they are my favorite Mustang and I will never sell it. But they just can't compare the the Cobra. Tons of power, car is much tighter, smoother to drive, engine is a lot smoother, no interior rattles or squeeks. Just a pulley and a tune away...

    I just got a set from Autozone for $20 each. Like said above, if the install takes more than 5 min your doing something wrong.
