Cobra towed back to where I got it... :(

Definately...I had my oilcooler replaced from the dealer and even they didn't know how to burp the system. 2miles down the road the car over heated. I researched it here on Stangnet and told the DEALERSHIP. They pretended to know and burp the system the way I described. Thanks guys at...

    Too many miles to supercharge?

I'm in the same boat as you. 112,000 miles and runs great. Had a Mustang performance shop (Extreme Automotive) say that these engines are pretty reliable and are ok for supercharging at these miles. Compression test is a good idea though. :nice:

pullies a bad idea for 01 cobra???

Had my Steeda pullies installed when I first had my car in the shop for exhaust. I didn't know any better and the shop said that it's one of the many upgrades you should have and I got them. Never feel any performance gains. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't bother.

    UPDATE~~~ Suspension noise

Sorry for the lack of detail but I was on borrowed time on someone elses PC. :D I brought my car back to the shop that installed the suspension. I didn't exactly see or was with them when they did it. But from what the mechanic told me he said that the shock worked itself loose at the top...

My problem solved, it turned out that the front left Koni shock just needed to be tightened; I got lucky and now it's quite again. Hope you guys have the same luck. ;)

Thanks. I'll check it out. My first thought was changing the fuel filter; it needs changing anyway. Is the IAC easy to obtain, install and cheap? Thanks for the help. :nice:

    '01 Cobra idle's too low

Heya guys/gals! Well I got a problem here. I started my car after going to the bank and all of a sudden the idle is low. It starts up with that automatic spike of rpm then when dropping to idle it goes to around only 2-400 rpm barely keeping the engine on then stalls. It started fine two...

Should i sell my 99 cobra in favor of a porsche boxster??

Was going to post the same but saw yours. Grip in a Box! :nice: Think they have some vids of Fox bodies ripping up the track too. The urban myth is that the Boxter does fall in line as a chic car though.

    UPDATE~~~ Suspension noise

Amazing how many people with the same problem but not many answers. :( I'm waiting for that one guy to chime in and say: "Don't worry son, I've had the problem and here is the fix steps 1-10", in a perfect world of course. :) But great tips from you guys. I appreciate the input greatly...

Do you love your 01 Cobra??

Ok...back on the subject. I love my 2001 Cobra and enjoy driving everytime I get behind the wheel. But I do envy the 03/04 Cobra owners and still give them thumbs up. :nice: I would prefer to get an 03/04 Cobra. lets face it, it's the badest SVT Cobra Ford produced IMO. 390 underrated...

    UPDATE~~~ Suspension noise

I haven't got around to it, but calling Maximum Motorsports would be a good start. Also I should take it back to the garage that installed it and see what they think. They are a reputable garage (Extreme Automotive) in Canoga, CA and been featured in 5.0 Magazine, so I'm sure that will help me...

    UPDATE~~~ Suspension noise

I know this thread is like 3yrs old but I wanted to reply to this thread instead of creating a new one for referance. I've been having an issue with clunking from the front left (driver's side) shock. I have Koni Yellow adjustables Eibach Pro-kit, urethane bushings and MM cc plates. It clunks...
