    Not sure what just happened...

Eeek, that doesn't sound good. It's never a good idea to have a engine running at high RPM while the tranny is not engaged. How long did you have it running at this high rpm? It sounds to me like a similar sympton I had in my old 72 firebird. Basically it was a clicking/knocking type...

How much can an aluminum driveshaft take?

If your going for a new driveshaft, skip the aluminum and goto carbon fiber. The carbon fiber shafts are 60% lighter than 2-piece steel shafts, they generate less powertrain noise and vibration to the passenger compartment, and the composite material is protected against driveline...

Wow, check out this Ebay Auction, someone selling 427 SOHC Cammer Heads!

Sheesh, they sold at 2k and I can expect it will take another 2k+ worth of machineing work to get em back to there former glory. Man I would love to hear a cammer run, I'v heard that the 6+ foot timeing chain adds a destinctive sound that is just awsome. I bet those engines set off car alarms...

    1967 Fastback

That one you found on classictrader actually looks pretty good for the asking price. What I'v noticed is the fastbacks on ebay tend to go for more than fastbacks on other sites. I think it's cause the clone builders frequently bid on the ebay auctions driveing up the values. At any rate...

    1967 Fastback

The top 2 online car selling sites would probebly be: http://pages.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ and http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/ Of course there are many many more sites, but these 2 seem to have the most classic vehicles for sale, and are very current. Getting thousands of new...

    Accurate 67/68 Fastback curb weight?

Well not that I'm going for a numbers matching engine/car combo here so my engine options are wide open. However, I wouldn't feel right putting in some new over the counter generic crate engine. Like those 5.0 litre cate motors, no thanks. As it is, I found a shop that can produce decent 428...

    Accurate 67/68 Fastback curb weight?

Alright then a stock no option 67 fastback with a v-8 is looking like 2.8k+ Course depending on my motor choice, that will definatly go up. But I can also save in areas like the hood and trunk lid by going for fiberglass, use a aircraft aluminum drive shaft, switch out the drum breaks for all...

    Accurate 67/68 Fastback curb weight?

Well I'm sure it's far easier to get 550+ hp from a 428 than it is say a 302. And probebly more reliable. Course I'm talking naturally aspirated here too... Anyone can get a 200hp shot of Naws and cheat there way into low digits :D I know the coupes are lighter, but I prefer the body style...

    Accurate 67/68 Fastback curb weight?

Ok well I am in the process of changeing over brand loyalty, so this is kinda hard for me. I'v been a Pontiac F-Body guy for as long as I can remember, I love the 70-73 Formula/Trans Am 455's. Now nothing against pontiac, cause they are awsome cars, but lets face it, pontiac engines aint...

    Accurate 67/68 Fastback curb weight?

I have scouted out various Mustang fastback sites and each post various car curb weights. Anything from 2,600 to 3,300 lbs. Does anyone have a stock fastback and know the accurate curb weight of the car (without driver). Oh yea, a 67 or 68 preffered. This will ultimately help me get an...

    Custom Stang Interiors

I seem to remember Tweed being everywhere in those generation trucks, and I personally hate it. I'll take leather or vinyl or comfortweave over tweed.

    Shop locations (So Cal)

Dunno where you live, but there is a place in the Spring Valley/Casa De Oro area that specialises in exhaust systems. The do alot of muscle car exhaust installs, not a mustang specialist, but they work on alot of 60-70 muscle cars. I forget the name, but could look it up if you want.

    Custom Stang Interiors

Yuck, thats 64 maroon mustang looks like the owner has been watching fast n furious alittle too much. And why did he use Tweed on the entire interior? Tweed was a cr@ppy material they used on 80-90 generation pickup trucks, it was terrible then, and still is now. It's really ruff too, and if...

    rent-a-racer's car pictures

Damned nice looking car! Gotta love fastbacks, and the gold on black is my favorite color scheme. Can't tell, but it looks like some of that tire smoke came from the bottom scoop, is it functional? More pics please, show the interior and engine bay ect.. ect..

Check out the black "Eleanor" on this site.

I can't comment on a thread thats 4 months old, is this a unspoken rule? Maybe this thread should be locked if people are not supposed to post here. But since it's not, I see no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to add my opinion to the discussion, old or new.

Check out the black "Eleanor" on this site.

I like the black eleanor, but I'm also a fan of the fastbacks/gt's/eleanor clones. The red one looks good too, however with the way I drive, I could never paint a car red. I feel paint as robust as that would draw too much attention from the police if you know what I mean... I dunno why so...
