The BMW has a real direct feel, it is kind of hard to explain. Right now the LX has Bilsteins, H&R R&T springs, new ball joints, all new bushings in the front, all stock in the rear. I have the MM LCA's ready to go in, after that I plan to ditch the quad shocks and my exhaust tips so I can fit...

Cobra R Hood On Car I Bought Shakes While Driving

I have a full fiberglass hood on my 70 Dart that is pinned on the front and pinned on the back. It wiggles a bit, but it is also a six pack hood so it catches a LOT of air.

Yeah I still have it, I want to redo the suspension on it again cause I think I can make it handle/ride better then it does now, but sit at the same height. You are right on the variety thing, I bought an 86 BMW 325es last year, that one is a blast to drive as well. It is really different...

Cobra R Hood On Car I Bought Shakes While Driving

I'm with Mike on the pin thing. I've had a hood come open on me, it is NOT fun.

Got the axles sorted. Refilled the diff/crankcase, went out for a test drive. There is a minimal amount of noise from the rear (tbh it might have made that noise before, I can't remember) and the car feels a lot more stable now. Usually I can't get hooked up until the middle of third gear, now...

Oh that's a good idea, I have a flat file.

A lathe would be best. I only need to remove 2-3 mils per side. Can't imagine how I could do that with a saw.

Will do. I have an angle grinder with a regular wheel and a flapper wheel. Which do you think I should use?

Post pics of how your foxbody currently sits

Stuck like this waiting for me to sort the 8.8 on it.

So according to Moser I should be able to grind the ends of the axles a bit to make room for the cross pin. We'll see if I can make them fit.

Yeah, been lurking a bit lately. I found a local rally cross track, bought another Subaru and race that mostly now. I still like to take the old Fox out and make some noise on occasion. Want to go back to the strip, but I want to get this stuff done first.

Long time no update. Car has been sitting a lot, I haven't been driving it because of that old random dying problem. I *think* I finally have that sorted. Looks like it was a combination of underdrive pulleys (yeah I still had them installed, wtf was I thinking), and an old booty 3g alternator...

    Steve's Megasquirt/tunerstudio Help Thread

Yeah years ago I had a TweeCer on my 89 that I figured out pretty quickly. I had so much trouble with the Quarter Horse setup for this car that I finally got sick of it and pulled it off. I got so many irons in the fire right now it'll likely be a bit. Would be good to get familiar with it on...

I sure hope so. I was having that random dying problem. It looks like it was a combination of a bad 3G alternator + underdrive pulleys that were slowly killing my Redtop batteries.

    Steve's Megasquirt/tunerstudio Help Thread

This is a really interesting thread. Making me want MS for my LX as I was not happy with QH so I removed it. Been running on the stock A9L ever since.

Grats on the job Mike. I picked up a BMW last year, I like it a lot.

    Trying To Fix My A/c

I am sure that would have done it too. I don't have that kind of gear in my shop. This is my first attempt at A/C repair.

    Trying To Fix My A/c

Well the car held a vacuum for weeks while waiting for me to get proper gauges, etc. Looking at the floor of my garage it looks like it asploded. I will probably just shotgun the heater core and evap at the same time. I was thinking about this kit. Though I will likely wait till a little later...

    Trying To Fix My A/c

Well it was fixed. Went to get it out of the garage, A/C was blowing hot, looked at the floor and there is oil all over it. It is puking (what appears) to the be oil out of the drain on the firewall. I guess the evap core died on me.

Best Option For Replacing A Trans In A Fox For Cheap???

Well a 5 speed if definitely better then an AOD (IMO) however, are you prepared to have the car down for a few weeks while you iron it out?
