So I Drove The Lx On The Street For The First Time In 6 Months (bonus Pics Of New Garage)

I was expecting to spend $2500-$3K. ETA: Or unless I get real randy and go with a Cobra IRS setup since it is 99% a street car thanks to all our tracks closing down.

That makes a lot of sense now that I see it in pictures. Rats. I live out in the sticks where there aren't a lot of fabricators/competent mechanics so I get stuck doing most of my own work. Thus I generally try to find bolt on solutions whenever possible.

Anybody Ever Hurt A Spec Clutch?

You guys are making me glad I have a lot less hp.

Hmm. I would expect a new "bolt in" housing should have those kind of issues sorted already. Who built your housing?

So I Drove The Lx On The Street For The First Time In 6 Months (bonus Pics Of New Garage)

What would you guys say the limit is for a decent built 8.8 is then? Right now I am making anywhere from 400hp to 450hp. I have the factory traclok that acts like an open diff with 3.55's (really like this ratio). I was thinking if I kept my 8.8 (before I was considering the 9") I would put a...

Bullitt rims off of a 2001 Bullitt. Wish I had the car to go with them. :-/

Well if I keep the 8.8, then I will have to learn how to set it up myself because there is no one in my area that I can take it too. Which is fine I guess, I'm just not really stoked on that proposition.

So I Drove The Lx On The Street For The First Time In 6 Months (bonus Pics Of New Garage)

My original shop was reasonable. It is 30x40 with a 16" eve height, I had it built in 2005, this more recent one isn't big enough for a lift as it only has a 10" eve height, of course the intention of this on is only for parking (it is 20x40). Not for work. My estimates likely won't match much...

Thanks. The only reason I don't have more is because how much these cost me in insurance.

Thanks guys. If I can go a tank of fuel without the car dying on me I think I can say it is fixed for sure. Grover: I went back and forth on the 8.8" vs 9" in my head a lot. I didn't really skimp on the motor and trans when I built the car. Not to mention it has always been my plan to step up...

So I Drove The Lx On The Street For The First Time In 6 Months (bonus Pics Of New Garage)

My LX has been sitting since the last time it left me stranded (roughly last October). Unable to track down an actual reason why it was dying on me while cruising I shotgunned the car with parts. I generally try not to do this, but it was stuff that I either wanted to replace or probably needed...

    Heater Core----copper Or Aluminum?

When ever mine start leaking I am going to go with a Motorcraft core. Just for the simple fact that the one in the car is nearly 25 years old and still doesn't leak.

Looking For The Right Maf Sensor For Fox 5.0

Probably a really low duty cycle (if I understand injector PWM correctly). What do you have planned? I am running 30lb.ers on my 347 and have plenty of fuel.

    Potential Dumb Diff Question

Yeah that is kind of what I was thinking. Might have to try and see how it works out.

    Fox One Piece Headlights

Man I hope so. Car seems to run well, but I haven't taken it on any long runs yet to see if the issue crops up again.

Let's Dream Big Here: 6 Speed Transmisson

My old 89 had a T5z gear set in it with a .63 5th. I had 4.10's in the rear with 26" tall tires and it cruised very nice at 75mph. I think if you put a T-56 in the car with a .50 6th you will almost never use it with 3.73's. With 26" tall tires at 75mph that works out to 1800 rpms, that is...
