    2006 GT bad rear clutches

When they performed my tsb, I had a bunch of my mods on the car as well. Alot depends on the particular dealer though; mine is really cool. I thought about having 4.10's installed when they had my rearend apart, but I just didn't have any extra money at the time :( I wouldn't consider...

    2006 GT bad rear clutches

yeah it's perfectly fine now. They replaced the rearend clutches same as the '05 TSB; and it's been perfect since then.

    2006 GT bad rear clutches

I had to get that tsb fix on my 06 rearend as well. Dealers are just using the '05 tsb to fix it; same problem.

    longtubes on stock mufflers

Mine sounds just fine with longtubes & stock mufflers. Still sounds very sedate when cruising on the highway/interstate.

I don't see where he says they were coated?

Who wants vid/sound clip of JBA longtubes, no cats, & stock mufflers

ahhh I guess you found where I had the vids hosted LOL as you can notice, revving in neutral it does not have the 2500 rpm resonance. But under load, it does indeed resonate. I wish I could get rid of it because aside from that, I think it sounds perfect with stock mufflers.

    installing headers....

yeah I am running the stock mufflers. I also have the resonance at 2,500. Only does it under load though. If I rev it at a stop, it does not resonate. If you figure out how to get rid of the resonance, let me know. I don't want to put on a set of louder mufflers, I want to retain the...

    installing headers....

Those seem to be the uncoated longtubes. I have the titanium coating on mine, but I sure hope mine dont turn out like that. If I'd have seen those pics before I got mine, I DEFINITELY wouldn't have gotten the JBA's.

    installing headers....

Glad you finally got 'em in there!!! I am still running stock mufflers with mine and I don't think I am leaving much on the table at all, yet the sound is pretty good except for that 2,500 rpm resonance. I had to do the same thing to my O2 sensors, so don't feel bad. Sad thing is, my...

Confused about Longtubes for 05 GT

Some LT's can work with cats, just not with the factory cats... it depends on who you get your headers from. I know JBA sells a catalytic H-pipe for their long tubes, and I'm pretty sure Stainless Works does as well.

the proper torque on those header bolts = TIGHT AS ****. They will never be tight enough :)

    installing headers....

I don't recall having a dipstick spacer??? I dunno what that's all about. I think I kept 2 studs (maybe 3) on the passenger side and 3 studs on the driver side. I didn't keep many. Some came out themselves when I was removing the nut, and I had to take some out just to be able to wiggle...

    Exhaust dilemma

From what I've seen that is correct, however the rear O2's are now getting a completely off-the-wall reading and relaying this info back to the ECU. They still need to be turned off.

    Longtube gains...

just keep in mind that pretty much all these tests are done on otherwise stock cars. The first mod on these cars seems to be the one that gives you the biggest gain, due to the rich A/F from the factory. If you already have a descent tune, in my experience, you will gain less with the...

    installing headers....

JBA wants you to remove most of the studs, but not all of them. Alot of the studs (mainly the rearward studs) just keep the header from wiggling up in the engine bay, just like you are thinking. I was able to keep 2 or 3 studs on each side, mostly on the front. Keeping at least 2 studs...

    Who has problems speed shifting?

If you're definition of speed shifting is using the clutch but not letting off the gas, that's what I do. I usually don't have a problem, but for some reason I have a little trouble with 2nd gear sometimes. My buddy doesn't have any problem speed shifting his, but both of us have stock clutch.
