Radar: Valentine 1 or Escort Passport 8500 X50

Good post. I believe all the radar detection in the world aren't going to save your ass if you insist on being stupid. While I have had more than a few conversations to our "men in blue" regarding the sports cars that I typically buy, in general, they have been polite and reasonable. That...

    Dodge dropped the ball.

Now THAT would get my attention. If GM can pull off the body style in last month's MT, with the LS7, and keep it priced about the same, I'll seriously consider trading in my Mustang GT.

300HP? Thats It...Whats wrong with Ford

Don't get so hung up on the HP thing. It's all about performance. Let's take a look at the Mustang GT's nearest competitor....the GTO. In '05 guise, the GTO has 100 more HP over the Mustang GT. But, the performance numbers have the Mustang GT only 1/10th of a sec off the GTO for 0-60 and...

    Plans?

see my sig..... X plans for "friends & Family" and major suppliers to Ford A,Z,D plans are employee pricing and actually "under" invoice (by a goodly amount). Most dealers won't accept special pricing plans for a Mustang GT, as it's voluntary for them to do so. They can make more money...

What's up with the idiot Ford Dealerships.

WOW.....which dealer is this? Name? City? If they've got 6 GTs, there's a bunch of people that would make a "bee line" to their door to buy them. Chevy dealers will "beg" you to come buy their cars.....at a big discount, too. Unfortunately, they don't have anything that remotely...

    Japanese Mustang!!!

Well....considering Hondas are being made in OH, Toyotas are being made in KY and Mercedes are being made in AL, it stands to reason that good ole American skill and labor win out as the best in the world. GM has tried to foist and Autralian car on the U.S. driving public as a GTO. See...

    Resale Value?

Welll......tough to tell right now, but all indications are good. --'05 GT orders are filled up --even used '05 GTs at the auctions are bringing MSRP --most new '05 GTs have sold at MSRP or above --dealers are lining up buyers for '06s when they start ordering in the middle of May....that...

the real deal with recent GT orders

Best of luck with your new ride. I can certainly understand your impatience in waiting for the Mustang. But, I went through the same thought process as you did. I qualify for GMO pricing through my bro-in-law. Could have bought an '05 GTO for $29.3 (using the current rebate). Some of...

    Radar Detectors: Whos Using What?

Got both a V1 and a Passport 8500 X50. I prefer the Passport as it doesn't "false" nearly as much as the V1. Both are about the same in alerting me to the presence of radar or Laser.

Mustang makes top three list of most hated cars on BMW M3 forum...

I've owned a couple of 3 Series BMWs. Believe me, those cars aren't built or engineered nearly as well as BMW purports. If most BMW owners were to be totally honest, their ownership experiences would probably fall someplace in the "well, I knew that buying a BMW was going to mean making...

    X-Plan for 2006 GT

Here in OH, my dealer is finished with '05 GTs and Verts. He can't take an order for an '06 yet, but has a waiting list that he estimates will fill his entire first 3 months of '06 GT allotment. So, for the near term, even '06s look to be in short supply.

    X-Plan Problem...

First, find a dealer that will accept X plan. I don't think aftermarket accessories are subject to X plan pricing.

Since our back seats aren't really leather...

Just got off the phone with Ford customer service. They said that the back seats of the ICAP option, are indeed, leather. Don't know about non-ICAP rear seats, though.

    X-Plan Problem...

I'm with GT-03 on this. Having the VPP signed by both the dealer and the customer, with the price and terms clearly stated, is mandatory if you're buying under one of Ford's discount plans. If you don't have that agreement in place, then the terms can change. Not saying that it's right for...

X/A/D Plans - where was (if) yours honored. N-S-E-W?

Excuse my ignorance, but how can a Rousch be A planned? A plan pricing comes from Ford. Rousch, although based on the Mustang, pricing is Rousch pricing, not Ford's. Are they really charging $10K over the MSRP of a Mustang GT or vert for different wheels and trim?

Old School vs. New School.......sick of the all the B.S

It means I use what I came stardard with to good effect. No MODS are needed for my equipment to function well. I'm trying hard not to make another duner penis joke here....but it's getting harder and harder. :bang:

    X-Plan Problem...

Yeah....that'll put the fear of god into the dealer. DEALERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HONOR X PLANS. IT IS NOT MANDATORY. While I do think it's sleazy for the dealers to agree to x plan pricing and then change their minds, they are certainly within their agreement with Ford to do so. Ford...
