    8.8 will bolt right up and as long as it's not a cobra rear end everything is the same. The shocks bolt up a little different but still work like they should. Bearings sound more like popcorn than a squeeling. But they're also pretty cheap and easy to replace so it's a good place to start.

    You buy repo parts from the repoman. however, i'm sure you're looking for repro(duction) parts, LMR is the way to go when you can, but I'm pretty sure they don't have the window trim for the back and I'm not sure on the windshield. Junkyard and refinish it yourself.

    My guess is the last person to put that in there used gasket sealer. It should have just been pressed in there and come out without any problems. I would try a little heat and a dental hook.

    I can't see the pic on my phone, but if it's what I remember, that wire is for the shift lock, you have to press the brake pedal to shift from park. You don't need it with the 5-speed. I just tucked it up under the dash in mine.

    If the car doesn't die when you put it in drive then the trans is slipping like it should. What's your idle at? I would also check the brakes.
