    Me and a buddy are thinking about making my 86 into a dirt track car. In the rules it says it has to be a production motor and you can't use a truck motor, but neither of us could think of a car that came with the 351. A 302 just wouldn't be competitive enough with the chevy 383's and 400's...

    Mark the ds, then rotate the tire one full rotation, count the number of rotations the ds makes. 3 3/4 turns is 373's, a little over 4 is 410's etc.

    My vert leans to the drivers side, but my seat has the built in gangsta lean which counter acts. So it pretty much fixed itself! :rolleyes:

    An exhaust leak would get louder as the RPM's come up and could sound like a ticking sound. Can you post a video or sound clip? If you still want to replace the injectors, 19lbs stock replacements are what you want with your mods.

    I just changed out my bad pump for a used one. While I had the pump out I saw on it to use type II ATF fluid. Is there a res. or fill hole on this thing somewhere? I put it in and it seems to work fine, I didn't hear any air when running the pump, just wondering if there is a resevior (sp)...

    Have you dyno'd the motor or car yet? I don't think the T5 is rated for much over 300 crank HP if memory serves, I think it's acually more like 270 for a WC. I found a chart once, but I didn't save the link. As said before, as long as you baby it, it should last, but with a bored or stroked...

    IMHO +1 But that's just me, which one do you like better? Personally, I have an 86 hatch, a 90 vert, and a 91 notch, my 4 eye would be the first to go even if it was just as nice as the other two.
