    I had a friend who tried that. Went to McDonalds and "borrowed" a couple trays. Worked pretty good until they just kinda melted to nothing I suppose. They didn't hold up very long but it was fun while it lasted.

    I don't think he was really trying to be a jerk, just trying to save you time and money. For the new mustangs, 94+, if you want a v8, his advice was most often right, you should have bought one. Tons of threads are on here about engine swapping and sure it can be done, but the cost of it...

    gas prices in your area

    I live right next to Iowa which is where I usually gas up, nearest city, and if I'm lucky and need gas when it drops for a day or two I can get it around $2.05 at times but most often it's $2.17 or so now.

    Underdrive pulleys are about that price. Gears and a T-Lok but that will cost you a bit more, maybe around 500.

    Did you take the MAF off your old intake and put it on the new one? Otherwise your going to have about a 3 inch gap.

    I agree it's not your fault the pump was bad but it's not Advanced Auto Parts fault either. Whoever made the pump is at fault so really AAP shouldn't have to pay either. I'd say just suck it up and either install the second one yourself since you watched how the first one got installed, or pay...
