Make sure you get an adjustable modulator.I don't know if they all are now-a-days. It will allow you to tweak the pressures without having to remove it to swap rods. BTW... a leaking modulator causes pressures to increase because it thinks it has low vacuum. Tends to blow out seals if it's let...

Stereo and dome light not coming on...

Are you sure you didn't plug into the amplifier feed at the rear of the radio? (The wires coming out the back of the factory unit) As I mentioned, this goes to the premium sound amp under the pass seat. Your radio will not power it. Follow the above instructions to jump the wires to the speakers.

OK with premium sound, the wires are; Y/BK - power in RUN (fed by fuse 11) LG/Y - power constant (fed by fuse 8) LB/R - radio illumination w/ lights on (fed by dimmer) BK & BK/LG - grounds These are all on one connector(C280 - 8 flat pins) The other radio plug (kind of square - 8 round...

Stereo and dome light not coming on...

On a 93, fuse #8 (15A) covers the radio, courtesy lights, warning chime and power mirrors. If all of them don't work, it's probably the fuse. If, in addition to those, your power windows and interval wipers don't work, you've cut a BK/LG wire. OOps! You didn't say (I don't think) whether the car...

    Some advice, Please...

Coming home from K-Mart in my 90 LX hatchback 5 spd and while accelerating mildly to 55, we heard a ticking sound start up under the hood. About a mile later, we turned onto the Interstate and I noticed it only made the noise on acceleration:shrug: . Drove about 5 miles and stopped at the rest...

D@MN belt prob, keeps running off a/c comp toward rear

Take the belt off and see if the tensioner or compressor pulleys have ANY play at all in them. Also make sure your compressor has all it's bolts still installed.

Why is the LS1 so much better than a 351W?

OK, So, 0-100 in 11.1 according to this test. Still, almost 110 mph on the 1/4 is some horsepower. Moving almost 2 tons that fast is impressive to me. http://motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0502_trio/index7.html

Why is the LS1 so much better than a 351W?

BTW...The Corvette was not the only production car fitted with the LS6. My son had a company car which was a Caddy CTS-V. Came with the LS6, 3.73's, a 6spd, weighed 4200lbs and would do mid 11's. Without the traction control, it would've kept spinning the street tires through the first 4 shifts...

    Power window motor

Are you sure the motor is bad before you get into this? The best way is to pull the whole regulator assembly first. If you pull the door panel off, you can find and disconnect the motor connector and jumper one side to ground and the other to battery voltage to test one direction and reverse...

Well, removed the t-stat and car is still running hot...

Are you getting any foaming in the coolant in the radiator? I don't remember anyone asking that. The only thing in the engine that's able to overheat the coolant is the exhaust. An exhaust leak into the cooling system won't show up anywhere externally except in the radiator. Possible cracked head.

    carburator problem?

Every carb/engine/installation has its own particular need for 'tweaking' to get it to run as you expect it to. Replacing the carb will not probably do that for you, although it might. A replacement will still need to be adjusted somewhat. If you are a do-it-yourselfer, get a book for your car...

    Fuel Filter(s)???

Make sure when you go to change the filter, you run the engine and pull the fuse for the pump to make sure there is no pressure left in the lines. That I'm serious about. Nothing worse than a face full of gasoline...
