Local Dealer ordering my 2007 GT in March

Ahhh...crap! I guess I'll have more to upgrade when my '06 comes in. :)

    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

I decided on the GT. I have always been a big Mustang guy, so I ordered one a couple of weeks ago. My dealer called me today to tell me they expect it before the end of the month. I am going to sell my '95 GT and am looking for an older Subaru as a backup car for my wife and me. I took...

    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

I haven't seen real snow in years. However, when it rains here, the roads are as bad as if it snowed a few inches in Detroit, which is where I am originally from. No emissions laws or vehicle testing, so we have a lot of people driving cars that use more oil than gas and it tends to stay on...

    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

Whoa... Great response. I really appreciate it. I almost had an '06 GT yesterday. Had a minor interior detail that needed to be worked out, so it didn't happen yet.

Just ordered an 06 GT 5spd!

Nice comment...You should be banned. :flag: Is there a reason to wait until 2007? Only thing I know of that is supposed to be different is some colors. I almost bought a 2006 GT today on A plan. They found a car on another lot that they wanted to transfer over that fit my build. We...

    gt lease?

Thanks. I figured you were busy. The Ford dealer was busy at 2:30pm today by me. What time zone are you in?

    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

:) I drove an '06 GT today. I left the traction control on and was still impressed with the smooth 2nd gear scratch and being able to hang the a$$ out when I wanted to. I didn't do anything ugly with the car as it only had 3 miles when I started. I put about 20 on it. It does drive more...

    gt lease?

I just tried to call as this thread has made me consider a lease. You didn't pick up your extension, so either you have been flooded with stupid calls, or having a good Friday! If I can keep my $10,000 in the bank instead of using it as a down payment, that would be much smarter, in my book...

    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

I loved my '89 SHO seats. Adjustable bolsters and comfortable for 500+ miles trips too. I thought the WRX seat was strange in the front though. It felt like it was lifting my legs up more than it should. After driving for about 20 minutes, it seemed normal though. ?? I am still waiting on...

    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

Good info. Thanks. I would have thought the STI would be quicker than that. The '06 drives much different than the '04, for sure. Maybe the catless up-pipe is what is helping it spool faster. I don't know much about it, as I haven't dealt with them. Also, I know what you mean about...

    Anyone driven the '06 WRX 2.5L ?

Not that I want to be banned or anything, but... I test drove an '06 WRX (friend told me to do this before ordering my '06 Mustang) and I was pretty impressed. It did seem fun to drive. I test drove an '04 last year and wasn't impressed. This 2.5l (up from the '05 2.0l) gets rid of the turbo...

    NEED HELP ON COLOR!!!

I don't like the purple hue myself, but just an opinion. I wanted Mineral Gray and they don't make it anymore, so I am not sure I am going to even get a new Mustang now. I was going to by a used 2005 just for the color, but that would be stupid for me as I can get the A plan on a new one...

    Disapointing top end performance?

Power under the curve, probably. A positive displacement SC is hard to beat. My Kenne Bell gives me about 375 rwtq from 2000-4500 rpm and peaks at 403. Peak HP numbers are not everything.

    Practicality Issues

Get it while you can afford it and the wife will let you!! I almost did it this year myself. I have a 21 month old son right now. I couldn't quite afford it, as we are getting ready to build a house, so I bought a used Lincoln LS for now. I needed something, as my Ranger wasn't cutting it...

    >>> Kenne Bell 2V twinscrew SC is here!!!!!

:bs: 302's feel stronger down low because they are stronger down low. I won't argue that the lastest 4.6s are stronger up top than a stock 5.0, because they are. I also won't argue that the latest 4.6 Stangs are faster than the stock old 5.0s, as most of the ones I have seen are. Why do...

    >>> Kenne Bell 2V twinscrew SC is here!!!!!

Torque needs are in the eye of the beholder, I guess. I have driven stock GTs, and they didn't have enough for me. My friend's Bullitt feels much better. Understand, I wasn't looking for a grocery-getter when I bought my GT. That's what my 302 Ranger is for. :) I am so used to having plenty...

    >>> Kenne Bell 2V twinscrew SC is here!!!!!

I had a VR4 and went to a '95 Mustang, so I know where you are coming from. My background is with Stangs though. I slapped a Kenne Bell and some heads on my 302 and I think that will do the trick. The cool thing is, you don't have any boost lag, so going into corners is very predictable and...
