    I think the CDC kit and the mach 1 shaker are about the same size. Both setups will cost about the same. (depending on if you can find a mach 1 hood/shaker for a decent price)

    I get a bit of exhaust drone with my 3.73s but it's not too bad. Your mileage won't drop much unless you are up over 80 mph a lot. Most people that I know who got 3.73s wish they had gotten 4.10s with the 3.73s myself, I would be disappointed if I wasn't planning on the vortech setup.

    if your staying NA then go 4.10s unless you spend a LOT of time on the interstate you will be much happier with them. The only reason I have 3.73s is cuz I'm gonna get blown. You will get better gas mileage in town with the 4.10s too (and it won't go down much on the interstate)

    Get ford motorsports gears. they are the highest quality that you can get. They are the least likely to whine. I have some off brand in mine and the whine is noticeable but not bad. (I actually orderd ford gears on ebay but they sent some other gears in a ford box. I didn't realize this...

    an off road pipe will only make the popping more prevalent. I've got an OR/X (mac) with magnaflow cat back and love the sound of it.

    question about gears w/ an auto tranny

    only reason I went with 3.73s is cuz I plan to supercharge. 3.73s are nice on the NA setup but 4.10s would have been better if I were to stay NA
