I had a car just like this...had the gray cloth interior though. She had an AOD and a factory 2.73 very slow at first...sold it off for my Notch.

    heads cam combo...will it clear?

Highest lift you can go is a .535 lift on stock pistons before you have to cut. Edel performers with 1.90 intake, E-303 and 1.72 RR's put me at .534 lift and .075 v/p/ clearance. .535 factors in the combined lift with rockers and the valve size of 1.90 intake. Aftermarket slugs leave...

AFR's flow better in the mid-range moreso than than your Jr's because the Jr's are not fully CNC'd. This is why people are going nutso over recommending the AFR's. If I was you, I would do exactly what you are planning on doing and save some coin by foregoing the heads. New cam and TFS R...

Almost Stock...I am assuming you have a friend in the chrome and polish business??? That is the cleanest, shiniest 5L mill that I have ever seen. :flag:

I believe your bottom end to be just fine. AFR 205 heads, a much better cam, and the trick flow intake I listed above should put you at 500 reliable hp. A 408 kit in your block would give you more punch out of the hole. The great thing about Mustangs is that there are already so many...

Stock short block; ungirdled. 23 mpg was an all highway run at 70mph at just under 200 miles on a trip. People kept asking me at shows, what kind of mpg does that thing get; like I keep track of it. So, after some thinking about it, I figured I would visit some family downstate and see what...

That's where I am at and it's also why I am leaving the power level alone. Plenty fast for the street, has great manners and still gets respectable mpg.

KISS is the mentality that brings smiles. Let's start with your current set up; what do you have for the H/C/I combo currently. Carb'd or injected? Stock t-5 or something stronger? Operating budget? Contingency fund? Achievables i.e. what do you want the car to...

Stangs Are For Pretty Days... Post ur DD.

I think with the car being stock that really helps it out in the winter. It get's me exactly where I need to go when I need to get there. Without a dedicated winter tire, the car won't budge 1/2" in the snow, but with the Blizzaks and 150lbs in the trunk, I seldom experience any wheel spin...

Is it just my I.E. 8 or does it look like the rear tires are just waiting for the first big bump to kiss the rear quarter lips?

7-UP 'Stang used as old car revival

I signed up for the Advanced Auto newsletter via email...sometimes it's nice to pass filter info onto my clients, but anyways, I found it interesting that the editor chose to use a 7 UP Fox for the article. It basically spoke in generalities of how to maintain an older car, things to...

tryin to build a 12sec 90 GT help please

Long story...I never ran it with a stock mill. When I first threw my notch together back in 2000, I took it out with the Edelbrock 300hp HCI combo, 3.08 gear w/bbk eq shorties with pro-chamber and 2.5 flows dumped. 24lb injecters, 75 pro-m 5-speed and had the drag lites for a little weight...

tryin to build a 12sec 90 GT help please

Long tubes made a HUGE difference on my Fox. I went from BBK EQ length shorties to BBK 1_5/8 long tubes...way better low-end. If your funds are tight, find a used set of BBK's and go with a prochamber.

your opinions on my dd. keep 01 grand cherokee or get 06-08 f150?

I take it that you parents are already paying for your schooling, in otherwords, you will be graduating debt free? If your pop is going to throw you a 15G bone just for graduating on top of paying off school, throw it into a CD or use it towards a grad degree. If and when gas shoots up...
