    Porting E7tE

    I ran a set of E7TE's with 1.94 x 1.6 vlvs, no clearance issues and made decent power but if had to do over I would have used 1.9x1.6 valves. Avoid the E6's they have a heart shape chamber that hurt power, as far as valves goes I'm pretty sure they are same size as E7TE's 1.78x1.45.

    You should have all the room in the world with that cam and heads but as others mentioned it doesn't take that long to do so why skip it. Not to mention if for some strange reason there is interference than it's going to be a very expensive repair.

    or you can use a 1/4" socket with a long extension taped to gether so it doesn't fall in. Been using this method for years with great results.

    "The 1500 has to get the intake, gears, maf, TB, cam, new valve springs etc etc." So I'll assume that this is a totally stock motor now? I would forget the heads and cam for now and spend the money on bolt ons right now. Long tubes $250 Mid pipe for LTs ? sub frame connectors $200 MAF...

    "His heads are working well with the combo like my GT40P heads." I can see the 145cc runners of the GT40Ps pulling that high but I've yet see the 124cc E7TE runners pull that high. Most ported E7TE's I've seen struggle to pull past 5200rpm.

    "Ok here it is..." Huh, everything you have listed in your sig is stock untouched (other than maybe a valve job)? Where is the cam installed, I ask because every dyno I've seen of stock stuff dies out around 4700 rpm but yours is pulling up until 5500rpm.

    willys1 quite few years back I ran a set of ported stock heads with larger vlvs and all the bolt ons. Car was a blast to drive but as money allowed I then upgraded just the heads to a set of out of box TWs. If you saw the look on my face after my first test drive with a good tune on the motor...
