Really Confused on installing new lifters NEED HELP

I assume that you are running stock rockers? Pedistal mount, not stud mounted? I have seen people just lay there new hydrolic lifters in oil and let them soak it in I guess. I dont know how cam companies want you to do it, but I have seen this way work and they did tick a little bit on...

    harmonic balencer

The smaller pulley requires you to use either an allen head or torx head bolt. I prefer to use allen on my stuff, but thats just a personal preferance. Ive stripped out to many torx bolts in my life.

    00-03 cobra engines

I considered doing this to my car also, but decided against it. For the cost of doing it correctly, and having a nice setup it is cheaper to buy a 96-98 Cobra. The resale on those cars right now is crap, so you can get them for cheap and have your motor, plus 5x the braking power, plus leather...

    hmm....which Supercharger to get???

Apparently youve never heard a D series Procharger? I am installing a Novi 1000 right now on a guys car, and the kit looks really good and besides from a couple bolts being about a 1/4" to short, its going on really well. If all you are ever going to go with more than 5-6 psi I would look...

Anyone with carb setup,, Let me see some Pics!! NEED HELP

I had to spend the $$$ on an MSD small base distributor to work with my intake. If you would like to see pics of that there are probably some on my site? It hasnt been updated in about a year, and thats right when I got this car running. I do think that the MSD distributor must be used with...

    1/4 window moulding covers

Most all good basecoats will cover up to 320grit scratches. Absolutly no need to go up to 600grit. 600grit is a finishing grit for high quality paint jobs, or else 500wet. These are moldings here not a high quality base/clear paint job, stop sanding at 320grit.

Need some help, stud mount rockers

Sounds about right? I ran 6.750 on my old 302 setup. I dont know about turning the pushrods with force. Ive never had a reason to try to turn them once the last was set. To me it sounds like your doing everything correctly. Thats why I cant believe your having problems. Do yourself a...

    408 Build-Up

There are tons of companies that make a 408 stroker kit. I went with DSS on mine. I went with Total Engine Airflow to CNC my Twisted Wedge heads and they flow awesome and make tons of power. Depending on what you want the car to do and where you want your power at, look into custom cams, and...

Need some help, stud mount rockers

Now these are obvious questions. Did you replace your lifters? Are you sure they are primed? Do you have the correct length pushrods? Do not add a quart of oil. Even with the new heads the motor still holds the same amount of oil. Try it one more time. Pull the spark plug on #1 and...

    torquing intake to alum. Heads

You can get ARP Moly Lube from Summit or ARP themselves. As far as going into aluminum heads, never go more than 18ftlbs. I always go to 18ftlbs on mine. I was told by DSS that if you go to the factory torque rating it will actually start to lift the aluminum head off the blokc a little...

    408 windsor

If its brand new and even if its just a shortblock thats worth the $1800. If you do get it make sure to double check all celarances and torque specs. Plus add a Main Support System to it. Be careful buying heads for it. You will have to get a set of large combustion chamber heads. They...

    Best Coilovers??

I bought the MM CC plates after I had bought the Griggs suspension. The MM pieces are very high quality and I am very happy I went with them. The guy at Griggs told me that mixing MM caster camber plates on my car would be fine. I went with the MM because they are $130 cheaper than Griggs, and...

    Best Coilovers??

I agree that both are great companies, and Griggs website does suck when you compare it to MM. They have very few pictures, and dimensions. They do have a photo page. I dont remember what the link is, but I will try to find it. Call Griggs and ask for them to email you pictures. I have...

    What size fuel line?

Have you talked with Brett at Aeromotive? He is the expert. I talked with him a couple times before I ordered and was happy I did. I ended up getting -10 feed and -6 from the regulator to each carb bowl, -8 return from regulator to tank. Maybe Rick91GT will chime in. He knows alot about...
