    I just had my Centerforce 2 installed 175 miles ago and it's great! Stock like pedal effort and 1/2 the travel. It was 400$ (puts you over budget) :flag: Also have a stock clutch with 12,000 on it and the tech who replaced it says it looks like a few hundred miles

    No I dought it is the balljoints,they (balljoints) can be moved up and down a little bit when they are no longer good or worn past their use.     Yea the minor "surging" between 1100rpm and in some cases as low as 500 rpm is normal.As far as the coating coming off I don't see that being a problem either.......jj :flag:

    LONG: Help diagnose rear diff noise - 1997 Cobra

    I second this, check the pinoin bearing. My 01 gt had 25 k on it when the rear seal/bearing went,similar noise coming from the rear. If the pinion seal went the bearing might go too and cause the noise......jj :shrug:

Anyways upon further inspection of the headers I was not too pleased with the quality of some of the welds on the drivers side header. The tube with the c.a.r.b certificate on it was welded pretty shabby and a few of the welds...

    Use a peice of chalk and mark on the streering shafts where the stock ones are before you take them off and I can't say the word "pickle fork " enuff! .....jjout :flag:

    X2 balljoints are a cheap way to correct geometry. They are exelent and when driving over 100 m.p.h are very helpful! They do not need to be welded just "pressed" out of the A arm. As far as them lowering the car 1/2 inch Steeda sells 1/4 inch spacers that correct the lowering. I would recomend...

    ****update**** My hood came up on me on the freeway! My windsheild is smashed and roof is all dented up in over 9 spots! Not to mention my pretty lil carbon fiber hood thats toast too! Looks like I'll just be "watching" on 4/27/05 but I'll still be there! ........jones out :owned:

    Yea I second this do it youre self idea! I have changed 2 stang racks (easy job) and you can get a used rack for $150 from stangparts.com add 40 for and alignment and you got yourself a fixed problem!.......jj :flag:
