    4 cyl. to v8 swap what wiring

    I just extend them for carbed 5.0 swaps. If memory serves, the alternator wiring isnt in the main engine harness but in the harness that has your headlight wiring. You would have to swap that too if you didnt want to extend the alt wires. The connectors from a 4cyl alt to a v8 is the same though.

    There were several variations of the C4 so you need to make sure you match everything up. Mainly the bellhousing, flexplate and stall need to match. The one I have found to fit best in a fox is the 157t version. Ford never used a 157t flexplate on a 5.0 so you will need an aftermarket...

    Trying to figure out what auto trans would have come in an 81 behind a 2.3. Just looking down there it looks like a c4 because of the removable bellhousing but it also looks like it might have a connector I have never niticed on a C4.

    What I generally do is to clamp the last inch or so of the tube in a vice and squeeze it flat. Then I run a bead of weld to seal it. But if you dont have a welder, I have also squeezed it then folded it and squeezed it again and had no leak.
