July Sales - Camaro Vs Mustang

Sorry, but if we talk about hybrids, these numbers are a little discouraging. American hybrids are nearly a decade behind schedule to that of toyota and honda. When I meant invest in hybrid technology, I meant configure the malibu to get better than 40 mpg in the city. The volt seems like an...

July Sales - Camaro Vs Mustang

The camaro though has never had as many faces as the Mustang, and I don't think it ever will. The great thing it has going for it right now is the "HEY! I'm back!" face, and the drivetrains....Everytime I look at the motor numbers, I'm dumbfounded by what they put out. I agree about marketing...

2008 GT, new exhaust, big mileage drop, help!

A tune will eliminate the need for those, if it's an issue for you. You are doing the mileage estimates with a pencil right? Not the computer I hope? The exhaust stank will go away after some more miles. Sucks how many things effect gas mileage when you are trying to figure out comparisons...

July Sales - Camaro Vs Mustang

That article almost seems like they want to say from June to July 2009 in the title. When actually it's July 2008 and July 2009 they are comparing. I'm sure they didn't mention anything about the recession though... Not to mention the rumors of a new motor option in the next year or two.

July Sales - Camaro Vs Mustang

I honestly hope they can pull themselves out of the hole as I would like to own a vette one day, but I don't think the camaro is going to be their saving grace. I think they need to revamp their other lineup of cars, but that's another story for another thread. I drive 50 miles a day through...

July Sales - Camaro Vs Mustang

FAST05 - I am one jealous bastard. You have exactly what I want..... :) I see the same amount of camaros as I do new Mustangs. The difference in sales at this point is simple. You could have bought a mustang last year, or the year before, or the year before that, etc, etc, back to 2002...

    JUST got the NEW exhaust

No gains. And you shouldn't notice the power loss. It's marginal at most. As long as it sounds good to you that's all that matters. Sounds pretty cool to me. :nice:

Take a look at my "Carastang"

:rlaugh::rlaugh::rlaugh: You modified it??? :rlaugh::rlaugh::rlaugh: Looks better than the stockers that's for sure.

Greenway Ford service drove my car over 200 miles!

What does it take, like a quarter of a mile at the most to drive to the bay, then drive to the lot to have it sit and wait for you. That's seriously F'd up. I again second darkfire's method. See if you can get on the news, then copy it to a DVD and mail it to the owner. I would have blocked the...

Mustang Shakes When Parked / RPM Drops

haha, I'm starting to think this is just normal. Been in several new Mustangs that have done this. Mine does it when in park, and you try to roll the windows up when they are already up. My car surges, and acts like it wants to die. Don't know if it's good or bad, but I haven't had issues in the...

    Need more RWHP

Real world *estimates* that I've personally experienced are shown in red above.

    Need more RWHP

Boosted (turbo'd or supercharged) cars give those exact results. Sometimes more, sometimes less. And everyone needs to stop knocking this guy, he was calculating engine HP, not rear wheel horsepower. He technically wasn't wrong, just the figures aren't as accurate as the companies would like you...

2008 GT, new exhaust, big mileage drop, help!

My case was the MIL eliminators were bad, but it was for a 98 GT. The MIL eliminators were not telling the computer the O2 sensor was functioning normally cause it was a busted unit.

2008 GT, new exhaust, big mileage drop, help!

The MAF seems to be a constant not a variable. If you had it on before, it shouldn't be a problem after exhaust mods. Probs with the O2 sensors, wires, or MIL eliminators will throw the engine check light. I had a bad MIL elim from dallas mustang, then after the fix had a bad/faulty wire...

2008 GT, new exhaust, big mileage drop, help!

dropin k&n - ok tb spacer - ok mid-pipe - ok catback - ok Changing the manifolds to a long tube header.......well I've always heard you need a tune with that one. I needed one on an older stang (98) after the swap to get the air:fuel corrected. Don't know how much things have changed, but...

2008 GT, new exhaust, big mileage drop, help!

I'm sure a tune would help. Certainly couldn't hurt it. The long tubes will change your mix ratios so it's best to have it done anyway.

Should Ford Market a "SPRINT 6" Limited Edition?

They do. It's just called something different. The Pony Package.

    magnetic oil drain plug

When you have a new motor or a new car it is a good idea to have one. Also the drain plug is more of an "indicator" that something is wrong, not a fix for the reason there are metal shavings.

    2011 may have a Cobra

If you look at the termi's and what the GT500 has been and still is....It's essentially the same thing with a few upgrades due to the model and chassis switch: 5.4L DOHC motor, blower, 6spd, and snakes all over the car. oh9mustang: I think the only thing you are getting hung up on is it...

    Look What I Ran Into...

Looks like a superformance replica. I could be wrong, as I can't see the back too well to tell if it's a FFR.
