    Anyone done cams yet in a 3V 4.6?? Preference>??

Nope, this was with me bringing my own cams. Keep in mind this is a NSR cam, with springs your looking at about twice the labor. I see your in North Atlanta. One of the best mustang shops in the south is just a few miles up the road in Cartersville. Call Tim at Modular Powerhouse and ask...

    Anyone done cams yet in a 3V 4.6?? Preference>??

Some people swear by the CMDP's. They can net you 5 - 10 RWHP on the top end but a tune is required. I think the general consensus is that you lose a little low end. Some notice it some don't. It may depend on how good the tune is. If I did cams or a centri blower I would definately...

    Anyone done cams yet in a 3V 4.6?? Preference>??

I looked into FRPP hot rod cams last year and I received a $650 quote from a local shop. $730 - cams (no springs required) $650 - labor $350 - Dyno tune Total - $1730 You can see 20 - 25 RWHP with those cams and the bolt on's I have. If I knew I could get 25 hp I would do it, but...

    Anyone done cams yet in a 3V 4.6?? Preference>??

Plenty of places will install NSR cams for under $1,000. Don't bother with a dealership. A mustang speed shop will be your best bet for getting it done for a reasonable price because they do so many. Just make a few calls. How much HP you get if any will depend on the tuner. Lots of mixed...

All motor mods to beat a stock 03-04 cobra?

lol. They went straight from "all motor" to power adders. The termi cobras lay down about 360 - 370 rwhp stock but they're also heavy. The coupes weigh in around 3650. Heads/cams/full bolt on's and a good dyno tune could do the job. But of course, who keeps a termi cobra stock

    Wheel Quality at Cruzin Concepts

Can't go wrong with tirerack. I had a problem with a new goodyear tire (had a leak). They sent me another one quickly and told me to send them the mount/balance bill. They did have the old one picked up. I love how they post specs of the tires as well.

    From 67 to 2010 - Shelby or Stage 3

Blown DOHC 5.4 with forged bottom end vs Blown SOHC 4.6 GT with suspension and body kit. I'm taking the Shelby. You can get about twice the HP out of it compared to the 4.6 without touching the motor and you can always add suspension stuff.

    Need Help! Driveshaft or gears?

I did them at the same time as well, I would highly recommend that route. I wasn't charged any extra for the DS install. I went from the stock 3:55 to 4:10 plus the DS and it felt like a completely different animal.

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

I don't care how much HP a ecoboost V6 has or how much lighter it is than a 4.6. Driving a GT with a V6 is like drinking non-alcoholic beer.:nonono:

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

The mustang needs it's very own platform instead of borrowing one from a family sedan. The car is just too big to began with. Owning both an sn95 and a s197 I can tell you I would much rather have the sn95's dimensions and weight. I don't need better ride quality and handleing if I have to...

Would you want 315HP or 365HP?

+1 And I'll add that no twin turbo V6 will ever match the sweet music of a V8. The signature flowmaster/Hpipe sound of the sn95 GT's back in the 90's is why I fell in love with the mustang in the first place. Without a V8 in future mustangs I would either buy an old one with a V8 or buy...

    Magnaflow Axle back, terrible sound

Straight through mufflers have sort of an import sound anyway. I would call it exotic though instead of ricey. If you want the more muscle car sound you need chambered mufflers but they don't sound nearly as good on the s197 as they did on the sn95. I think straight through mufflers...

    good place to buy wheels?

You don't want a 275/40 on the rear and a 255/45 on front. If you want the staggered look go with a 285/40 out back. The 275/40 will be nearly a half inch shorter in diameter than the 255/45. That is a lop sided package.

    Lightweight wheels

The steeda ultralite's weigh 24 lbs, that's not bad for a 18x9.5 wheel. There not too cheap though.

MUSTANG WINS! - Car and Driver front page!

Lets just hope the coyote ends up in a GT and not a $45,000 Boss or Mach 1. But back to the original topic, I love to see a lowly 315 hp car keeping up with cars that have 60 - 100 more hp. Car designers need to grasp the fact that CURB WEIGHT is important too when it comes to performance.

New 400 HP Engine for 2010 GT at mid-year

I just built a 2010 GT coupe 5spd for around 28,800 including destination charges. Their still plenty affordable as long as you get a BASE car and are willing to settle for cloth. My 2006 GT coupe 5spd carried a MSRP of around $27,400 (paid invoice $25,400) Mine has leather though but I...

Exhaust Question: Need alot of Opinions.

Can't go wrong with either muffler but I have FRPP stingers and wouldn't trade them for anything. They trumpet some with a O/R pipe but for me when I went to LT's the trumpetimg went away. I'm running SLP LT's, MAC O/R prochamber, and the stingers. I had to have my prochamber...
