StangNet Releases THE Official images of the 2010 Ford Mustang

Tell us your not trading the terminator in for a 315 hp GT! But I agree in stock trim the 2010 does look a pretty good bit more agressive than the 05-09. The hood, hips, and new front end go a long way. I've done a lot to my 06 to get it visually appealing to me. The 05-09 is the best...

    2010 SOLD

I don't care for the bottom trim but overall I love it.:nice: But I won't be buying one until the 4.6 grows a little. There's no way I'd sell my current car and start all over with the bolt on's for another 4.6.

    Borla/FRPP Stinger exhaust

johnbleakleyford.com $390 That's what they cost 2 years ago anyway.

    stock 17s vs stock 18s

kooldawg, what was the difference in trap speeds for those 2 runs? I would think the larger wheels and tires would help during the first couple gears and then slow you down a tad down the last part of the track.

    Exhaust Poll

Corsa sounds good but they're too expensive. Get the FRPP 5-GT which are made by borla. I got mine for only $390 which is high enough for mufflers in my book.

Short throw shifter with aluminum driveshaft???

Anybody, I want to do a MGW shifter.

    comp cams anyone?

I've gotten quotes of $650, $1,000, and a refusal to even give a quote. The $650 quote is from a speed shop and the other 2 are from Ford dealerships in my area. Those quotes are for the NSR hot rod cams. I would hate to see a quote for a cam/spring swap. The dealerships don't want to fool...

    comp cams anyone?

As already stated, you might as well do these last. How much power you get from cams will depend on other bolt on's like LT headers, CMDP's, CAI. I would do the cams after all the bolt on's then have the car zero'd in on a dyno. You're probably going to lose some low end power, so some 4.10...

Short throw shifter with aluminum driveshaft???

So you shouldn't have a problem installing a shifter and safety loop(other than BMR) later on if you already have a 4" aluminum driveshaft? I already have the spydershaft but am thinking about a shifter in the near future and maybe a safety loop if I ever take this thing to the track.

I agree 100% on the bikinis, they should have been removed.:hide:

    S-197 "power rules"

The rods are the weak spot of the motor. The clutch will probably go first but it isn't unheard to throw a rod at the 450 RWHP mark. It happens with boost. But a lot depends on the tune and the driving habits. Others are right around 500 RWHP with no problems........yet.

    New pics after a detailing

Yea, I'm talking about someone like yourself and I would want some kind of swirl mark treatment mainly.

How much would a good professional step by step detail like your describing cost?

    New pics after a detailing

I've always heard that in order to fix swirl marks aka micro scratches, you need some sort of filler polish. Just about anything you do to your car including washing can cause micro scratches in the clearcoat. I'm no expert but that's what I've read, I've been looking into trying to fix the...

    2010 Mustang?

The new ones shouldn't be any heavier than the current s197 except for the bigger DOHC motor. The current s197 GT 5spd coupe weighs 3480 compared to around 3330 for a new edge GT 5spd coupe. On average their several tenths faster stock vs stock than a new edge sn95 despite having only 40...

    Finally good pics!

Those wheels look awesome, if I buy a 2010 or 2011 I'm getting those. The car looks great but I would definately lower the front ASAP.

    Best NoTune CAI

There's something bad wrong with that article. It says the car is a s197 GT but it only made 218 RWHP after gaining 17 with the CAI. Sounds like a v6 to me too. To the OP, I've never heard of any dyno proof that a non tune CAI adds power. Makes perfect sense to buy a CAI/tuner package...

    2010 Mustang?

+1 I didn't like the new edge sn95 or the s197 when they first came out but both really grew on me. As far as the 2010 goes it's still the same car with a couple of minor exterior changes. If I saw a 2010 on the road today, I would just think it was a 2009 with a couple of aftermarket...

    Age check.

31 Been driving a mustang GT since 25, this one for 2.5 years. I'm surprised at the ages here. Most are either 20 somethings or 40 +. Not as many 30 somethings as I would have thought. By far most of the s197 Gt drivers I see on the road are over 40. I'm not sure I've ever seen...
