    throw the cai on at the same time while your at it and you still wont need a tune. i did the 3 parts at once and other than the car running rough for a couple days while it relearned there was no need to mess with anything.

    i used a mothers powerball with plastic polish. it didn't really 'fix' them, as much as hide its fading under shinyness. there's a 2-3 step kit around to restore fading lights but i'll be damned if i can remember where i saw the link from.

    some say use a spacer some say its not needed.. but the aftermarket plenums all have the built in rise so i'm going to use one with mine. the low outlet part you asked if you should port it more.. i smoothed it out on mine and widened it just a drop.. i didn't take any of the depth out of it...

    grind all that coating off the inside , grind off the ridge from the inside too.. you might need to get the flex wand attachment that really made it easier for me at least. don't use the sanding disks yet, use one of the stone grinders.. it will clear away all the bumpy coating off the inside...
