    sticky valves or leaky end plugs. aod valvebodies are notorious for leaks. its likely losing the governor pressure on the 3-4 shift valve.

    depending on how serious you're getting, you might want to weld those connectors in. those tabs are waiting to crack somewhere. the best subframe connectors are homemade. 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 by 6 feet 1/8 wall. welded through the floor. problems over.

    that would likely work well, given that you have the cobra 1.7 rockers. you may even get by wit the the tfs stage one cam. i have that cam and head combo with 1.6 rockers and it's sounds deadly, and goes good too. if you opt for the trickflow cam you will have to check piston to valve clearance.

    i have the aeromotive press. reg. it said to start at 48 psi static(no vaccuum). mine seems to run fine with the tf top end and 24 squirters.

    the point of a new diff. is that the spiders etc are usually an upgraded material, the cluthes/cones are superior than oem. an auburn uses a cone type clutch that works very well at equalizing traction, the only downside is that once they are worn out, they cannot be rebuilt. an eaton posi uses...

    i like my eaton, just did some ll's on the highway the other day. first gear went )), then second gear went ((. it paints nice even ll's all day long. no one wheel peels. still getting used to h/c/i so i'm trying not to bounce off the rev limiter.

    if you drop the pan, you will find the spring that is used to hold the tv lever back. sometimes it pops out of place if the valvebody has been tinkered with, it sits in a groove on the separator plate. hope this helps.

    rtv is by far the best sealer. it never leaks if its put on properly. the same cannot be said for gaskets. i've built many chrysler fwd trannies, anytime i used gaskets, they leaked eventually. rtv came on them from the factory and it never leaked, so that's what i use....and it doesn't leak.
