    egr works with a 3 way convertor to lower nox emissions. 3 way: platinum, palladium, and rhodium.(scrap guys justa bout want to steal them outta parked cars.) anyways the platinum/palladium is in all cats. the rhodium is the third part in a 3 way. the rhodium is what lowers nox, the others...

    it puts burnt gases into the intake, thus lowering combustion temperatures. weird eh? if you still have cats it may be hard on them but just for the sake of diagnostics try the beer can out, worst comes to worst you just have drink a beer, terrible huh?

    65 should be fine for now, keep in mind if you go big on the throttle body your gas peddle becomes more of an on/off switch.

    i've seen pan gaskets leaking, torque convertors leaking, front seals leaking, bushings walking. just like any other transmission, oh yeah shifter seals leak too.

    doesn't matter what you do with the vaccuum hose, unbolt the egr from the intake, make a beer can gasket to block the ports, goop it up slam it together see if it's fixed.

    me again, you could also have a sticky egr valve, in which case you'll need to replace it.

    also check your fuel pressure while idling and with the key off. pressure should hold with engine off. if it doesn't then you have either a leaky injector or press. reg. to eliminate the reg. you have to plug the return line.

    measure the resistance on your coolant sensor, it won't set codes if it's out. i could fax you a chart that shows the proper values.

    sounds like an aod. you have to get the thottle valve linkage to the 'kickdown' lever. ps it's not a kickdown lever it's a tv lever. totally necessary.

    thanx guys, it looks like EG is the right one. it's definately a 93 colour. i miss that car, oh well had to buy a house sometime.
