    Thanks for your help and concern. I won't be driving the car for one day so I will try that on Friday and follow the exact instructions you said to start it up and see it it does this idle problem from a cold start.:hail2:

    :nice:ok thanks I will have to do that. I can tell you now that the idle will not rise and stay at 1,500 rpms until the car is fully warmed up.:nice:

    I had IAC cleaned and throttle body and it didn't have any affect.:notnice::shrug:

    It goes back to sacrificing luxury for performance. Can't have everything. At least for a daily driver the V-6 will get better mileage and a softer ride over those bumpy roads.

    :nice:Yes automatic with a Corvette engine in it with a supercharger. Do you think the V-6 model will have a more comfortable ride on long trips and beat up roads than a CTS-V?

    I'm not sure on that and I thnk the TPS was replaced before.:shrug:

    I HAD BATTERY DISCONNECTED AND THEN CONNECTED AGAIN.

    Car has no problems starting up and the idle problem happens after car is fully warmed up.

    The coolant temp sending unit as described was replaced along with the ECT sensor both new parts but still getting this problem. It seems to appear when weather changes.:shrug:
