    You want to remove the vacuum line and cap it. Adjust the FP to 39 psig and then reattach the vaccum. My guess is you are a llittle high on pressure as typically at idle you will see about 30 psig or so. I am not saying this is the problem but its not helping. Also, check the vacuum line...

    I never noticed that. To me is sounds like relays clicking. Question, when you replaced the TFI module did you clean the old thermal paste off the distributor and install new thermal paste between the distributor and the TFI? Link to the paste I am referring to...

    Man I do not run oil that you would run so I am of no use there. I run Brad Penn with all the additives being I live in an emissions hospitable state. You need some of the SoCal guys to chime in here. I updated your thread title to get the to come out from under their rocks....

    I would go with what Bullitt347 suggested then. If you have good oil pressure then no reason to do anything else. If you have cats then stay away from lubricants with zinc, phosphorus, and sulfur as they have been shown to kill converters.

    What is the fuel pressure like? I am so suspect of any distributor but an OEM one when stuff like this comes up but it seems to be getting fire and its more like its over fueled.

    Any mods and where do you live? Location can have an impact on viscosity. I run 10W-40 as it gets pretty hot in Oklahoma and the car never sees the road from about mid-November through mid-March.

    I use studs on the lower to the heads and completely stud the upper to the lower. Makes gasket alignment super easy and zero vacuum leaks.

    I would bet money that is a C&L meter with a 30 lb sampling tube with the factory MAF sensor.

    Well I sent him a message to see when he would be in KC. I’m a little under 4 hours from there and I would rather go up there and see the block in person rather than get it via freight and it not be what it is supposed to be.
