    2.3 road racers in here.

Stock meaning they have to have factory part and or casting numbers? Since you're looking for a rear bar off of a Fairmont I'm assuming that stock doesn't mean it had to be on the car or an option when it left the factory. The Ranger header can be found on models as early as 92 or 93. The cam...

    tranny swap help

It's a 4 cyl. T5 with a 7 tooth speedo drive You can get away with cutting the automatic's driven gear and using it. The autos used a 7 tooth drive gear as well.

fuel pump on all the time (when keyed) is that ok?????

It's not the ignition box. It's the IRCM (Integrated Relay Control Module) that holds the fuel pump relay. On a '92 ithe relay may even be under the driver's seat.

    tranny swap help

No the crossmember won't work and no to the driveshaft as well You'll need the crossmember and driveshaft from either another 5spd car or from a 5.0L automatic car. Where did the trans come from? If it came from another 4cyl. car, life is much easier. There are some pilot bearing...

    Turbocoupe/svo clutch in my 93 2.3L ?

The only difference between the TC/SVO clutch and the NA clutch is a slight difference in diameter. To change to the larger clutch, you'll need to change the flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate. Centerforce, Spec, and Ram all make aftermarket clutch parts for the 2.3T.

    need vin decoder help

Don't need tag info to tell you the info you're looking for. Here's some quick facts that should help: All 2.3 Mustangs were equipped with 7.5" rear ends. After 1985 or so the following is true: Automatics had a 3.73 gear ratio Manuals...

    Transmission question.

Uh...Yes it is a World Class box and that has nothing to do with shifter selection. Popular shifters are: B&M Pro 5.0 Steeda Tri-Ax Hurst Competition Plus

    posi rear options

Ford made a Trac-Loc for the 7.5 It's found mostly in ARB (Aerostar, Ranger, Bronco)applications. They're scattered across ebay all the time. It's where I got mine. They can also be found in j-yards underneath the aforementioned vehicles. The diff tag will have an "L" separating the...

    radiator question

Is the rubber missing out of the upper mounts? Part number for part number they're the same. No telling what's happened with that car since the day it was first gutted.

    speedometer

I wish I could have convinced a GA. State Patrolman of that. 20mph over the posted speed. Thank goodness it wasn't a construction zone.

    radiator question

I think they used the same radiator in both the 4 and 8cyl cars. It's a 2 row. It may be the condition of the radiator rather than the size that's giving you problems.

    My spit & sputtering problem?????

I think you may have read your codes wrong. The 92 EEC uses 3 digit codes. Also, you shouldn't have a CEL from the T5 swap. I did it in my '91 and never got a code. Testing the DIS module is hit or miss. I've seen bad ones test good and good ones test bad. If the module is truly good...

What kind of air in 91?

I converted my '91. Still has the original R12 compressor though. I just flushed the system, added the right compressor oil, vacuumed it down. I checked it for leaks at that point and then charged the system. It'll freeze you out of the car and it took me less than a day to do it.

    1992 2.3l convertible ignition problem

I tried helping someone with this a few months back and ended up more confused than he was. :D I just recently had the motor out of my car (head, head gasket and freeze plug at rear of block :( ) and pulled everything off. What I found was the stock motorcraft coil packs are numbered...

Mechanical Issues with high mileage mustangs?

I've got 192,000 on a '91 and there's only been a few things outside of regular maintenance that I've had to replace. Bear in mind that I did have to rebuild the engine when I got the car, but other than the crank and one rod, it was a ring and bearing job. The original pistons are still in...

    Installing System. Fuse ?

Ditto what the Doc said. If you've taken the time to put the system in the car, then it only benefits you to do it right. On aftermarket head units there's a blue wire labled either Remote or Power Antenna that is used to turn on amps, crossovers, EQs etc. This way they only come on when...
