    2.3L to 2.3L swap problem!!!

A socket works better if you can find one that fits the I.D of the bearing. You'll have to use an extension you don't mind beating on to cover up the socket drive hole.

    Drove/raced GTO down 1/8mile

LOL! You've got cool friends. They "force" you to drive a GTO, and in looking out for your best interests they starve you to keep unnecessary weight down. I wasn't launching the Camaro with 60 ft. times in mind ;) I did find out what the GS-C means on the factory Goodyears though...

    new guy with ?'s

Are you sure it's an '87? It may have been replaced. O.E on 87 and 88 TCs was the IHI.

    Drove/raced GTO down 1/8mile

Looks like you might have been a double cheeseburger or chili-cheese dog away from 8.99 :D :D Nice driving by the way! When you dumped the clutch, did it seem to be just a tick slow to respond or didn't let out as fast as you thought it would? I drove an LS powered 6spd Camaro and it just...

    new guy with ?'s

Your Stang head won't work in a practical sense. The combustion chambers are too small. It can be made to work, but I don't know how feasible it would be. Ultimately the best production head for a turbo motor is a factory turbo head. Trouble with that is finding a good, uncracked specimen...

    suspension upgrade

Hey RD, who's poly bushings did you use? I've got my front end completely disassembled right now and waiting for a front end set from P-S-T. I'm keeping stock springs for now. Good, bad, or indifferent, anything's gotta be better than the 190,000 mi. original ball joints, LCA bushings...

    Light weight Flywheel

No. In fact, there isn't a balancer on the front of the engine. It's just a hub to mount the front pulley.

    2.3L to 2.3L swap problem!!!

You did remember to remove the pilot bearing from the back of the crank right? The torque converter may be bound up against it.

    Individual Throttle Bodies

Well, now there's individual throttle bodies and then there's multiple throttle bodies. Multiple throttle bodies would be taking 4 stock TB's and plumbing one each to a dedicated runner feeding one cylinder only. It ain't gonna work for reasons posted above. Now individual throttle bodies...

    CARB SWAP ?

If it runs better with the mixture screws closed, then fuel is getting in from somewhere else. Check the float level and the general condition of the float and the needle valve.

    Electrical problem...anyone got a diagram?

I never thought to jiggle the key. I had it in my head that it was probably a bad ground or something loose under the dash. The car's coming off the road next week for a complete front end rebuild so I'll take a look at the ignition switch too while it's down. Thanks for the help.

    Lx Mustang

Stay away from the 351M and the 351C In their day they were the Chit. Unfortunately they've been out of production for over 30 years and while some aftermarket parts remain, they're largely forgotten. Leave them to the classic Mustang guys. They'll be needing em sooner or later. Find a nice...

    93 LX

300 a month? Where the hell do you live? The cost to do a 5-lug swap depends on how you go about it. 1. Cheap and easy, no performance improvement, just an extra lug nut on each corner. 2. Easy, not as cheap, Slight braking improvement, Basically 5.0 Fox brakes on a 2.3 3. Kinda...

    93 LX

Dollar for dollar? 2.3 turbo. Unless you've got a 5.0 donor car sitting nearby to grab all of the 5.0 specific parts (and there's a bunch of 'em). For the most part, if you get a complete 2.3t including the computer and VAM, It drops right in with a little intake/exhaust plumbing, A...
