    TV Show ???

Monster Miatas are relatively well known to all car guys. There's one up the road from me that I see a husband and wife driving around. The only thing that gives it away is a "Monster Miata" decal on the back and the 3" exhaust,

    Brightest headlights

The higher the Kelvin the lower the output. 4300k is optimal, so that 20k your friend put in is actually less powerful than the 8k that you have.

    New guy here!

When you suddenly close the throttle body at high boost where is all that pressure gonna go? It'll find the easiest way out, and if it doesn't find a way out it will put excess load on the supercharger, the same thing it does to a turbocharger. It tends to not be an issue with lower boost, but...

    Cash for clunkers victims!!!

After looking through the list I noticed that a lot of cars on there got better mileage than 18mpg combined. My '87 Mark VII was rated at 19mpg and there were a few of those. Plus some Aspires, Accords, and a few others. I actually called the CARS hotline to see what this was about, and they...

    Brightest headlights

Don't do HIDs with anything but projectors. Any reflective housing you buy for our cars is not designed for HIDs at all and will cause excess glare. Even the projector headlights you can buy aren't meant for them, but due to the basic design of a projector beam an HID setup can be used. I bought...

1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE - Lots of mods

I've enjoyed this car a lot in the time I've had it, but it's time to let it go. There have been extensive modifications done to this SE, and what it needs to finish is some TLC. It runs and drives great, with lots of power and great handling. The air suspension is still intact and functions...

    alternate fox body?

I've owned 6 Mark VIIs, only one had a suspension issue. Through a used air compressor in and it was fixed. The system is easy to work with, it has self diagnostics just like the EEC and there's a ton of information online.

    alternate fox body?

No need to ditch the air-ride. It handles better than most of the coil conversions and rides better as well. The LSC had air bags designed to increase spring rate as they compress, essentially a progressive spring, but with a much more immediate effect. Come on, show a nice one at least...

    Most Miles On A 94?

Now that's cool. Most people give up on these cars when something "major" happens. Having owned both VIIs and VIIIs I can say they are really reliable, just give them the love they need when they need it.

best 9004 bulb availible period. might ditch the hid's

I've also had the Silverstars in a couple cars. I switched to XtraVisions in my truck and saw no difference except for color and my Mustang got HIR bulbs for the aftermarket housings, which DID make a difference. And they are called HIR, not HID. They were designed by GE and made by Toshiba.

best 9004 bulb availible period. might ditch the hid's

Silverstar bulbs are crap, well, at least the ones they sell here in the US. The ones sold in Europe don't have the purple/blue tinted glass, but still have the higher tungsten filament, making for much better lighting. We get the tungsten, but it's behind that tinted glass, meaning they put out...

    Smoked by a Nissan GT-R

One of the most fun cars I've ever driven was my best friends little '92 EG. No power anything, a stock D16Z6, and a tiny little turbo made for one heck of a 0-100mph car. I still want to get one of my own. :nice:

OK Guys, Let's Play "What's This Noise"

It doesn't really come from a side. I jacked the car up and it sounds like something in the exhaust. Even the local exhaust guy was looking for leaks, then he concluded it was due to something sticking up into the exhaust flow, however there have been three different setups on the car and I...

OK Guys, Let's Play "What's This Noise"

Sound was there with the original headers, Summit shorty headers, and now with MAC longtubes. Even right after firing the car with new headers and gaskets the sound was there. Mid pipe would loosen before, but even after tightening the sound was there. The new MAC ProChamber seals tight and...

Yeah. One was welded, the other I just used a hose with a bolt clamped in, it wasn't the problem.
