    I'm looking to have some work done to the block in my Mark VIII and was wondering if there's any machine shops in the NW that have had experience with the 4.6, especially the aluminum blocks.     I didn't learn about the problems with the tube until after I got the tranny rebuilt in mine, of course. I've been pondering gears for my VIII for a while now. Did you put a chip in it? Cause I thought they weren't supposed to shift right without some sort of modification to the shift points...

    There is no way a stock base model Boxster could ever beat an LS1. A Boxster S would even have a tough time. Boxster are made for corner carving, not straight lining.
