    Autometer Cluster -- 1967-68

Yup, have seen EDBERT's page on this a while back, thanks for reposting. The ONLY thing I didn't really like about it was the way the guages were mounted to the bezel with the screw. Doesn't look like it would hold up too well. ReenMachine did a really nice conversion where he used the...

    Autometer Cluster -- 1967-68

Great job to both of you, came out really nice. 67GTRAG - how are your guages secured? Hard to tell from the picture. This is a modification I am definately going to do at some point. Not really a fan of the plasting backing plate, seems so flimsy. I have an extra complete guage cluster...

    4-wheel disc & rim size

I went with SSBC after looking at all the choices out there. They have a nice package that works well for those of us who want to retain a 15" wheel package. Quality was very good and the performance is awesome.

    Is this aligned correctly?

As others have said, everything looks good, congrats. I notice you are using the 1 piece fuel pump eccentric. If you are not already aware, there are 2 different eccentrics (1 piece and 2 piece) and they are not universally compatible with the timing covers. The 1 piece is slightly thicker...

    Christmas Present Photos

You will love the 347, really pulls like a mother in the power band. Just curious why not wait until you finish building the short block (heads, water pump, intake etc...) before puttng in the car? A lot easier than bending over the fenders. My guess is you just couldn't wait, which I can...

Roller Rockers: Cold is Quiet, Hot is Loud!?!

What viscosity oil are you running? Might need to run a heavier weight oil. Also make sure you don't have an exhaust leak. I had one that I swore was rocker noise which led me to multiple adjustments to no avail. Finally figured it out and quieted right down. My hydraulic rollers do sound...

How much sound deadening (dynamat etc) is needed?

I used 2 rolls of the RaaMmat and did the full floors, under the rear seat, inside of the rear quarters, full trunk (not the lid) and the inside of the doors. I would have done the rooft, but didn't want to pull the headliner. Inside of doors will need to be done with 4 pieces so that you can...

How much sound deadening (dynamat etc) is needed?

You should do the doors, it makes a lot of difference with road noise and rattles while driving. Also, I noticed a difference just when closing the door - get a nice dead sound now and no rattles.

How much sound deadening (dynamat etc) is needed?

I researched and decided to go with RaaMmat and have zero regrets. RAAMaudio This is a peel and stick product like DynaMat, but they also have and suggest using a closed cell foam that is another layer that goes on top. Costs a lot less than DynaMat and is same process to install. Do...

    T5 Shifter for 67 w/Console

I am using the stock T5z shifter that came with the trans. I trimmed about 1/8" from the tunnel shifter opening on the side pointing toward the firewall. It fit without trimming, but it was a little too close for my liking and I didn't want rubbing, so was just minor clearancing. Yours will...

    T5 Shifter for 67 w/Console

I did the T5 swap in my 68 with console, which is nearly identical to the 67. I purchased the factory looking shifter handle from Modern Driveline to keep the stock appearance. It bolts right to the stock or aftermarket T5 shifter and locates the handle in the best location, right where Ford...

    hyd clutch

I love the feel of my hydraulic clutch - mine's a JMC which are no longer available. Was a bitch to bleed initially, but no maintenance since and pedal feel is great. Gives plenty of room for headers as well. Do a search on the forum and you will find lots of threads on this topic.

Car dies after 25-30 minutes of use. Help needed.

Wow, am surprised it wasn't the gas tank vent issue. It sure sounded like the exact symptoms. Sorry I don't have more suggestions other than what the others have listed. Sounds like you have determined the carb has fuel when this problem occurs, so it is likely a spark/ignition problem.

Car dies after 25-30 minutes of use. Help needed.

Trying to visualize 3/32" drill bit... I'm sure that will be fine. Give it a shot and report back.

Car dies after 25-30 minutes of use. Help needed.

Is the top of your gas tank dented? I'll bet a paycheck that it's a venting problem, especially since you say you switched gas caps. This happened to a friend's 67 as well. If you get the wrong gas cap, it will not vent properly. He had an aftermarket cap, not sure what model it was spec'd...

    Soft Pedal Bad Performance

Possible the rod is not adjusted properly. How did you set it?

Car dies after 25-30 minutes of use. Help needed.

Sounds very possible that your gas tank/cap is not vented properly which prevents the pump from being able to pump fuel to the carb after a period of time. The fact that it is worse around noon when it is warmer is also an indicator. If you have ever "shotgun" a beer can, it's the same...

    timing a carb'd 5.0

Maybe I'm wrong, but the plug gap set at .055 seems really wide. Stock range is about .035 and electronic CD systems like my Crane HI6 suggest .042-.045 range. Your spark might be too weak to get a full burn. What do your plugs look like?

    engine/pressure plate balance

I had a pretty bad vibration when I first did my swap. Long story short, turned out to be the cheap flywheel I bought off FleaBay (it was new). I swapped it with a new Ford Racing piece and no vibrations at all. Quality of the macine work between the 2 pieces was night and day. Not saying...

    Need some oil pump help!

Probably need to prime the pump. I have read people use vasoline in the impeller gears of the pump to create the initial suction to get it primed.
