way to step up husker. i haven't bought any type yet and don't plan to. if i feel my car is performing poorly i will go to autozone just to make sure it isn't something other than the catalyst codes. the light doesn't bother me.

    question about no cats....

if you don't have to worry about the visual (no cats) inspection you can always fool the OBDII test by disconnecting the battery for an hour. It worked for me in NC. You will have to drive the car at highway speeds (55mph) for a few minutes in order for the computer to reset. Or if you want...

    GOT REV'ED BY A SRT-4

I had one rev at my also. I was waiting to turn into my housing complex and one drove by and revved at me. I laughed and decided to go after him. When I pulled up I noticed it had new tags so he must have just bought it. After pulling along side for a few seconds he got the hint and put his...

    Jump Starting

99% of the time it's fine to jump start a car. I have heard of cars being screwed up but it is a very small chance. You can't predict what will happen and I don't know why it sometimes goes wrong. I help people out with a jump but in the back of my mind i think about it too.

    trading in 1993 cobra

that road is what they must have meant in the saying "it's heaven on earth". i love those types of roads. luckily we have highway 129 (deals gap) here in NC/TN. nice pics. i still remember hauling ass on the PCH and people pulling over for me. i never flashed my lights but i think they knew...

    trading in 1993 cobra

i Know it takes more effort to sell it on your own but everyone is right. you will be able to sell it for more on your own and there HAS to be people looking for that year Cobra. Not everyone can pay a premium for a "garage queen" that has low miles. Your car represents a rare car at a more...

keep ny dragstrip open petition..please sign

signed. good luck. the old people can race in their wheelchairs. can you put a power adder on a walker? brings new meaning to the phrase "you got walked". i'm sure that the elderly have plenty of other places to go. i thought all old people went to Florida anyway.

    Hard To Believe.......

I'm not sure what to tell you on that one. I will call a few of my friends that are still in the business. Most of the cars we bought out of the Ford lane were "off lease vehicles" ie. a few thousand miles to 36k miles. Was it purchased at the Manheim Auto Auction (Manheim PA) or at a local...

    Hard To Believe.......

needed money fast. your right. that would be the only reason to take it to CarMax. anytime we got vehicles like that (very rare) we would take it to a bigger auction (Manheim most likely). I remember a black S281 a few years ago that was dropped off in Raleigh on it's way to the Charlotte...

    Losing the T Trim............getting a JT.

no problem man. it's just nice to see that a few guys are willing to put the time and effort (and money) into making some serious rides. a lot of people can talk about it i'm just glad a few of you have ACTUALLY decided to go for it. plus (think everyone has already hinted at) it would...

Turn signal and light problem on cobra

i know what you are talking about. i got my '98 last year and had the same problem (had to hold the turn signal or try it more than once..and if it didn't "flash" then my passenger brake light wouldn't work either). my car doesn't do it anymore but i do remember somebody posting something...

Mustangs are Death Chariots in the rain, its Amazing

craigmack, i love the stillen license plate cover on your cobra. i bet you confuse a lot of people with that one. to answer your question the mustang does behave poorly in bad weather just like a lot of other rwd's. like some people have said practice and take it easy.

How can I find chip in 98 cobra

vortech's supercharger kit for '98 came with a "vortech/superchip" ecm. you can verify this by going on vortechs website under '96-'98 cobra parts list (i thinks it's like page 3 that says that you have to call and order the chip but it is already included in the price). it says if you want to...

For guys with Roush Stangs or clones

if you want to know if a car is real or a clone just call the shop (Steeda, Roush, Saleen, etc.) and give them the VIN. Any car can try and put numbers on it but if you really need to know call the shop. For example, my car was in a wreck (previous owner) so the firewall Steeda stamp was gone...

    '96-'98 Cobra or 99+ GT

i would think looks plays a big part in this. which look do you prefer? other points: 2) power- the cobra (base line) puts out about 30 more rwhp 3) prices- parts cost more for the cobra (in most cases) 4) insurance- i really don't know if there is a big difference or not good...
